Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667.

we talked about this guy last night on the other thread already...

so credits for this should go to HelloHelloBaby17267659 and AC 29091069!

By the way,

There is a registered sex offender living in that hotel. I believe his name is Alvin Taylor. It's Alvin something for sure. Theres a newspaper article of him in 2008 saying that he was being forced to move out because Cecil wants to renovate their hotel and not have any homeless kind of people living there. However, he still resides there. I know this because theres a video on YouTube where an Asian reporter is interviewing him on what appears to be a balcony of his roof. Alvin comments that is is unfortunate that people were exposed to the water or something and he says that he is pretty much the only person staying at the hotel. I think that's what he said.

Few days ago someone on YouTube who had stayed at the hotel commented that he was approached by Alvin Taylor's 2 adopted sons who seemed delinquent. No idea if the 2 sons live at the hotel or just visiting.

i´m somewhat sure they already have dna+fingerprints from him ...
besides that, i think they do a sloppy job there, as they didn´t interview all guests and did not search all rooms properly (some press articles mentioned that, sorry, forgot to save links)
