There is no doubt that the Obama administration has taxed us into a recession

NO, Obammy didn't "tax us into a recession"....this has been coming for a long time....AND NO, I'm not blaming Bush!

99% of my co-workers love Obama and it is funny to hear them comment about gas prices and the "extra" social security tax that cost them enough for a tank of gas. Time was they'd have blamed both on Bush. Now they blame nobody but know damn well it is Obama though they will never admit it. If Bush could raise gas prices it only makes logic that Obama could lower them, right?

The United States has never came out of the "RECESSION". We are officially in a "DEPRESSION". Bigger and worse than the last one. You cannot spend what you do not have. We have done this and now are suffering the consequences.

Here is where I am going to get in TROUBLE: This is planned and has been for a long time. TPTBeeeee....are going to tell us that the only way to save mankind is a one world currency which will lead to a one world order.

This is not the beginning, it started years ago. It is not until it hits the average citizen will people understand. Our POTUS has taken his 2nd term and has become a Totalarian Dictactor. No more free speech, drones monitoring you, internet survelliance, disregard for negotiations, no more guns and most of all - enjoying being POTUS with an extravigant lifestyle.

Our own military is taking the biggest hit today in the history of the US. We will not be able to protect ourselves. But then, they the GOV is taking on more and more SSI claims and paying people for unheard of disabilities. WHY??? Easier to control people if they are being paid by you the GOV.

I could go on and on, but will refrain for now. Stock up and prepare for a bumpy ride. Not earth ending, but life as we knew it ending.

There was a fragile recovery, with steady increases in GDP after the second leg down of the great depression, or 1932 - 1926. It collapsed with the much increased taxes set upon people who were already suffering from a lack of money. What little economic activity dried up and the GDP collapsed from +15% at the start of 1936 to -3% only a year later.

Obamacare will do worse, because it is the most regressive tax in American history. Even with NO income, people will face monthly insurance costs higher than most folks' rent or utility bills. Prices of everything will rise as businesses are forced to cover their expenses or go under.

We are so fucked. Everyone who hasn't been exempted (Obama's special classes of people, those on welfare, undocumented aliens, congress and the fed gov, and their many friends who got "exemptions") are going to be rolled under a tsunami of taxes.

The POTUS wants people on welfare/disability. It makes you dependent on them. He is laughing his ass off in the oval office right now while his "hometown" Chicago is overrun by crime.

I just sometimes want to scream out and say to everyone - LOOK AT WHAT WE HAVE ALLOWED! We have gone from producing goods to importing everything from poisoned food (animal and human) to utterly devastating our milatary.

I sometimes wonder if instead of teaching Spanish as a second language, we should all learn Chinese.

Bunkers in hidden spots will not save you when the economy crashes. If you own the land, you pay taxes and Big Brother knows where to find you. That is why I laugh at people with bunkers, especially those that are hours away from where you live. Do you honestly believe that you will have enough warning to reach it? Much less than that, do you honestly think that the place you have being built underground or in a hillside hasn't already been looked at by the local government to access taxes!!!!! LOL

Go - run to bunkers and silo's - but do not use a cellphone, computer or vehicle - cause you will be traced. When they knock on your door, it might not be the police and martial law, but it will damn sure be the TAX MAN.

Hidden truth here _ it's increased gas prices that are causing problems more than increased taxes, just as in 08.

Wait until next year when you do your taxes. If you think gas prices are astronomical, wait til you see what you have to contribute to the Obamacare.

The Health Care Bill does not officially start until 2014, but in the meantime, you will be taxed for it. Even if you have insurance, the way the laws are written, they cushion those who do not have the money to pay on their own via our tax dollars.

Why do you think they are pushing for everyone to get on welfare? CONTROL!!! You will have to have a card to buy, sell, go to doctors, pay for childcare, pay bills, pay for gas, utilities and your housepayment.

It is the whole purpose of universal healthcare. The Obamacare is nothing like Europeans socialist healthcare. This one is set up to monitor your every move from what food your purchase (look at Michelle pushing certain foods) to you flushing your life down the toilet.

Sorry I am so pessimistic today, but I read an article in the WSJ that really opened my eyes to this Sequester that Obama so wanted.

good post and i am afraid you are right. but even so no one will point the fingers at washington unless they have an "R" after their name. look for repubs to lose big at the mid-terms. i think we have to get into even worse shape and then maybe there will be some opposition to this socialist government.

We went into a recession shortly after 9/11.

We slid into a depression when Obama became president the first time.

I am so happy to see others understand. If this budget crisis was an issue before the election, you better damn well believe Obama would have mandated Congress and the Senate to stay in town until resolved.

He does not care anymore because he knows what is ahead. He probably thinks he is going to give an Executive Order to allow him a third term without election. Exaggeration of course, but his Executive Orders have gotten out of hand.

That's not true about the 9/11 part.
Up until 2007/2008 things were decent and unemployment was low.
Granted we were in a bubble, one of many, but it was not a RECESSION by any definition.

I try not to place blame on any Party, but then again, life was pretty good until Mr. O. OK, I will admit it - I am a liberal Repulican - if there is such a term.

It is so sad when I turn on MSM and see a lady screaming praise about her "OBAMA PHONE", or just after his first-term win - the woman who praised Obama and said he would help her pay her mortgage. Guess what the follow-up is?? SHE LOST HER HOUSE IN FORECLOSURE.

I was so disenhearted to see a week and a half ago, Obama paying his pennance to Chicago and stopping by to see the people he was a social worker for. His wife and daughters had already left on their private jet to CO to ski and he did his nice uplifting speach to the down and out and hopped on AirForce One to sunny south FL to Golf with Tiger.

Wow - is this the Austerity program ahead of us. Kind of like Marie Antoinette - as the peasants suffered of hunger, she in her castle relaxed and said about the peasants "Let Them Eat Cake".

We are at that point. Our Prez will drop in occasionally and tell his dependents that all is well and he has it under control and then he will depart on a golf outing. We can all go eat cake - but the irony is that there is no cake, there is no flour and there is nothing to power the ovens.

yes exactly, no one, not even republicans wanted to do a budget battle right before the election, so as usual they kicked the can down the road for the next "congress" to deal with. funny that the next congress is always the same damn morons who got us here in the first place?

i believe that obama's next term will come in the form of michelle obama. they tried it with hillary, but monica-gate got in the way and people were totally sick of the name clinton there for a while.

they say that obama is a black jimmy carter, nah i say he is a black bill clinton. clinton never governed he was always campaigning, but he got caught up in a sex scandal. obama doesn't have sex so that will never happen to him...
