There is a UK blogger, aangirfan, whose interesting take on Chavez's death is that he was taken out by Fidel Castro.

Or by (possible CIA operative) Sean Penn or other celebrities he made friends with.

He didn't have the best medical advisers, that is for sure. Maybe the killer is amongst the doctors who treated him. Why did he undergo chemo? Imo he could still be alive, had he used alternative, hollisitc cures.

Simple, not the intellectually educated brightest crayon in the box.. but, his heart was in the right place & he really tried to improve things for everyone. But then, he sort of became tough el Presido Dictator, who felt he must reign on to keep away any foreign wolves at the political borders, & anyway.. he liked a singalong with the crowd, to entertain & get involved with the people. The mistake he made is not throwing off his military image. Should've put on a tracksuit hoodytop like his Cuban mate Castro.

I watched him being interviewed last night on BBC News-24 'Hardtalk' interview, where tough questioning BBC reporter grilled Chavez for 25 minutes at his Presidential residence.

He explained his fear of his country being an American Colony with US bases & American/global led fuel companies trying to claim the people's oil & gas. He was annoyed at there being US bases in South America & just general interference. He also warned of American/allies deployment of nuclear weapons, asking why don't they just get rid of nukes, or 'do they intend to use them!' He was proud of his country's health & social reforms. He defended his friendship with Americas enemies, claiming as a Sovereign nation they can have diplomatic ties with anyone they liked.
He was very tough on a Judge who over-ruled him, locking people up for many years, including political opponents, but his reasons seems fear of foreign infiltration & taking over. The interviewer stressed about a 'democracy' but he just laughed to say he's popular, been elected every time by the people. So, any opposition.. is mostly likely foreign financed & controlled to organize a puppet 'do as you are told' administrator. The 'right' of course, have long infiltrated any left or liberal parties & groups anyway.. just to make sure they don't grow too big for their pots.
