WHAT!!! IS this object getting ~ BIGGER ~ on STEREO BEHIND HI1 ~ Pan-Starrs perhaps?? | |

Spotted this yesterday morning as a bright rising object just below the number 13 at the bottom of the image... Yesterday 11:18 [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] Then it got bigger, early today 01:18 [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] Now it's HUGE!!!! [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] Could this be Comet Pan-Starrs perhaps? WARNING issued today about possible eye damage when viewing the comet! [link to www.independent.co.uk]  It isn't getting any bigger, it's just more illuminated, making it appear bigger. It's like a light bulb, if you take several pictures of it, some will appear bigger than others, because of the luminance. The Heliospheric imagery that "Just The Facts" link to is designed to show CME events, not interplanetary objects, which is why it's so difficult to interpret anything else from these images. |
