You'll need YFV if you're planning on visiting Bolivia (which I highly recommend).
Quoting: hapless moran A guy who does trips said it is compulsory to have it for parts of Peru. Do you have to take the certificate, or just tell them? AFAIK no airlines want to see the cert?! I needed the certificate to get my visa to Bolivia. You may not need a visa. However, if you're visiting the tropical sections of Bolivia I've seen them forcing folks to have a vaccination at road blocks if a certificate can't be presented. God knows how clean the needles were.
