I have stumbled upon this idea as well. But there are some things that confuse me in their actions, they sometimes contradict each other.
There might actually be two factions of illuminati - one fighting for people and spreading the sacred knowledge and the other turning us into slaves. I believe that the ones who fight for liberating our minds and lives have an insight into the way the universe works and they try to share it, but it is commonly done with the mediums that the other, dark side of illuminati engineered. So the message might become toxic to a lot, but people with good mind 'filtration system' might benefit from it.
And the dark side probably are just using everything in their disposal to strengthen their own place of power and gain some more. Probably don't really have a great insight in the universe, but what they have, they have corrupted and twisted to serve their own goals, justify their actions. Cannot really call it the sacred knowledge anymore.
What is illuminati? People with power or with the knowledge? There are a lot of people with great power but without the sacred knowledge. And there are many with the knowledge but without the power to influence masses. And then there are hybrids that have both. If you are talking about the pure hybrids, then they could be classified as illuminati and be the good guys. But then there might be the corrupt hybrids that can be classified as illuminati, but be the egocentric, materialistic bad guys, slavers.

There is always a balance in this world. The more darkness, the more vicious the evil become, the more light and selflessness will be there as well. And they both will have equal power, balancing each other out.
For a while I thought that the darkness is wining. There was very little light. But it was just that I was looking in the wrong direction. I turned my head and I can now see the sun rising.
The dawn is very empowering, rejuvenating if you can feel it, see it. The darkness is depressing and makes you sleepy, live a dream that is out of your control. You have to choose what is in front of you.

I don't really believe in the Illuminati, at least not as they are believed to exist on this website. But I applaud your efforts at thinking outside the box.

One should always consider the double-triple play. An example: 1-The people who never consider a bad force that is manipulating events on a global scale, 2-the people who think they've found them out and identify them as the great evil plaguing society, and lastly, the group who is smart enough to escape the first two and realize the group is in fact not our enemy but our saviors.
