Re: Pope poll: Is this pope the false prophet?
from wiki:

...As Cardinal, Bergoglio became known for personal humility, doctrinal conservatism and a commitment to social justice. A simple lifestyle has contributed to his reputation for humility. He lives in a small apartment, rather than in the palatial bishop's residence. He gave up his chauffeured limousine in favor of public transportation, and he reportedly cooks his own meals...

[link to en.wikipedia.org]
 Quoting: Esoteric Morgan

Here's a sample of his commitment to social justice.
On 15 April 2005, a human rights lawyer filed a criminal complaint against Bergoglio, as superior in the Society of Jesus of Argentina, accusing him of involvement in the kidnapping by the Navy in May 1976 (during the military dictatorship) of two Jesuit priests.[16] The priests, Orlando Yorio and Franz Jalics, were found alive five months later, drugged and semi-naked. Yorio accused Bergoglio of effectively handing them over to the death squads by declining to tell the regime that he endorsed their work.
[link to en.wikipedia.org]
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32276525

Well, to me this appears to say that Bergoglio could not sell out to a regime he despised.

Did he hand them over? NO. The kidnapping seems to have been done as a warning, to force his hand perhaps.

The Papal conclave of 2005 was convened as a result of the death of Pope John Paul II on 2 April 2005. The conclave began on 18 April 2005 and ended on the following day after four ballots.

Go back and look at the date of the criminal complaint in your post...

...someone wanted to assure he was not elected pope.

Still, he came in second.

Re: Pope poll: Is this pope the false prophet?
Ok... here it goes.
The new Pope was elected on 3-13-13. He is 76...7+6=13. Umm hello Illuminati.

He is a Jesuit which is considered the "Black Pope" Oh this gets better.

[link to www.time.com]

When many prophecies such and St. Malachy or Nostradamus, states the last pope, will be " a Black Pope". They are not necessarily referring to the Pope's skin color. They could be referring to The Black Pope, known as the Superior General of the Jesuits. I highly recommend you read this

[link to www.theforbiddenknowledge.com]

Oh and check this out. Here's a piece if the Prophecy of the Popes:

ST. MALACHY O’MORGAIR, ARCHBISHOP OF ARMAGH, IRELAND
St. Malachy (1049 - 1148) was an Irish Bishop, prophet, and seer, who prophesied the reign of future popes by a one-sentence verse to describe each popes’ characteristics.

During a visit to Rome, St. Malachy had a vision of the papal lineage. Malachy’s prophecy remained hidden in the Vatican until it was discovered in 1595. Some reports indicate St. Malachy’s visions were merely a fabrication done some 600 years later by a Belgian monk named Arnold de Wion (also de Wyon); but after reading St. Malachy’s list of popes, there is an interesting prophetic scenario that emerges.

There are two versions of St. Malachy’s prophecy: one list included 112 popes, the other 111

In the latter, the 111th pope [Gloria Olivae], is passed over and the list skips right to the last, the 112th pope. So which version is correct?

In both accounts, the list begins with Pope Celestine II (1146). In Malachy’s list of 112 popes, he gives the characteristics of the last three future popes including and following [what some have interpreted to be] John Paul II, the 110th pope. Malachy doesn’t give any indication as to what happens after the last pope, so many scholars conclude this to mean the end of time.

Interestingly, the prophecy reads,

"When the White Pope and the Black Pope (Head of the Jesuits or an Anti-Pope) shall die during the same night, then there will dawn upon the Christian nations the Great White Day."

Is this not the craziest thing EVER? And you know what, there's something fishy about French Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran. In fact, he's the one pulls all the strings, not the Pope. He's also the one that would take the place of the Pope if anything was to happen Pope Francis.

Also, check out the Coat of Arms for Pope Francis and for French Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran. They're very much alike. If you go back and look at the previous Popes coat of arms, these two are the only ones with this particular style.

Keeping my fingers cross (pun intended).
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1420747

And if you believe nostradamus he sys the last Pope of the church will be a French Pope.

Hey dip shit a false prophet is anyone that changes one fucking word

in the Bible. All churches are guilty of this. You guys want to think Jesus

was talking about some distant future when he said false prophets.

Little do you know he was referring to the times not long after his death.

Organized religion is false, because none of them emulate Christ, none!

Clean all the bullshit out of your eyes, so you can see the one and only

truth. The words of God, everything else are LIES.

in some sense yes...he is a pope a rep of one of the most dispicable organizations that has ever walked the world...anyone who group that speaks of peace and compassion than backed orgs like the nazi movement of late 30s or would submit to the horrors of the inquistion for fear based mythology is in no way a leader of human development....the question is what does this spell to the occultists...in my opinion it is a lead to "disclosure" or mass blackout, either of which is preferable to the war bases scenarios that can come up with t he influence of certain economically driven secret sects...either way he is no way the rep of the true christ idea...compassion, humilaty, charity and understanding...my two pennies

5. The Holy Spirit’s Actions

The Next Pope

Jesus

The hour is at hand when all the love that I have in my heart will pour out over all the Church. Benedict has made this possible by his resignation. Suddenly, the Chair of Peter is empty. The Church has no human leader. All the world awaits the decision of the cardinals. An opening exists. The Church is praying and expecting. I will give the Church more than a new pope. This is the moment of an extraordinary action of my Spirit. All will see, whether they are Catholics or not, that I have done what was never expected.

This will open my Church to a new expectancy. If I have taken this surprise action at the highest level of my Church, will I not do the same at every level? All will see that the Holy Spirit has acted in a unique manner. Everyone’s eyes will be open. A new era will begin when every Catholic will once more be open to the actions of the Holy Spirit.

Ok, So lets pretend your are Pope. You walk out onto the balcony to an astounding number of people yelling Papa. Did anyone notice his arms were just like stuck to the sides? It creeperd me out and it reminded me of a dominant cruel position. If all those people were yelling Papa, wouldn't you do something Fatherly in gesture?

Yikes! Such a stance is one that is yielding, one that is not invasive to those around. Holding your arms to your side allows those you are with create any needed motion/emotion, where they can reach out to you, as opposed to stepping back or staying in place while your arms and body are moving about.

It is how you approach a child, a stranger, or, a person with a fearful nature.

I thought his stance was much a bow forward, in deference. He gently clasped his hands in front of his body He used humor in starting his speech.

Methinks you may be trying to instill fear, where there is none.

Have a heart. That was only day one.

The lifestyle of this man, who is described to be most humble, is about to change in ways he has spent a lifetime resisting. He is stepping onto the world stage. I think his first minutes with us were soothing.

AND, mind you, I have had no use for the church for many a year. But, this man interests me. He immediately made me feel a connection.

Since yesterday, I cannot get the hymn version of St. Francis' Prayer out of my mind:

Lord, make me an [channel] of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.]

========
I may have walked away, but, I have never forgotten the better aspects of Christian loving kindness.

Re: Pope poll: Is this pope the false prophet?
Yes, for many reasons. It is to be Peter of Rome. He was in the St. Peter square and in Rome. The News paper on the internet called him Prince of Rome right after the announcing then someone must have said something because they took it down. He and all black Popes believe in Social Justice. Thats what we have in our office now in America. That is translated socialist. They have everything to do with what goes on in the United States. They give there opinions on what we are doing here. This new Pope is known for arguing and not always for good things he is easily persuaded to the wrong side. So what does this tell us??? The last two Popes talked alot about the New World Order and a One Worlds Religion. Also, this Pope was the one they wanted elected before Benedict but, he advised them it was not his time yet. But, now is???? You can learn all this on the Jesuits web sites. The bible talks about the Prince of Rome. So what do you think now??? Get ready we are about to meet our maker one way or another. Pray for Americans and Israel. Obama might very well be the Anti Christ. Also, one of the Popes crowns has Vicarius File Dei which stands for in Latin vicar of the Son of God. Does he look like the son of God to you??? They used to use this alot until the Public caught on now they dont use it anymore and that crown they will not let you take pictures of it.

Re: Pope poll: Is this pope the false prophet?
Maybe this is due to being raised as a baptist, but I am not comfortable with the way in which the Pope is addressed. Like " Father" and " His holiness". I don't understand the chain of command within the Catholic church, but again, that is b/c I didn't grow up in that environment. I have always known that we all have a direct line to God thru our prayers. We don't have to filter our prayers thru church leaders. I do weclome any insight regarding the practices of the Catholic church. I can't explain my feeling toward this, but something about the current and upcoming events with our Pres. in Israel, the new global symbol of God - the pope, etc. I am just really uncomfortable with this.

Anyway, I read this on Yahoo. These are the comments of President Obama and VP Biden....

Here are the full statements from the president and the vice president, as released by the White House:[/face
]

Obama:

On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I offer our warm wishes to His Holiness Pope Francis as he ascends to the Chair of Saint Peter and begins his papacy. As a champion of the poor and the most vulnerable among us, he carries forth the message of love and compassion that has inspired the world for more than two thousand years—that in each other we see the face of God. As the first pope from the Americas, his selection also speaks to the strength and vitality of a region that is increasingly shaping our world, and alongside millions of Hispanic Americans, those of us in the United States share the joy of this historic day. Just as I appreciated our work with Pope Benedict XVI, I look forward to working with His Holiness to advance peace, security and dignity for our fellow human beings, regardless of their faith. We join with people around the world in offering our prayers for the Holy Father as he begins the sacred work of leading the Catholic Church in our modern world.

Biden:

Jill and I want to offer our congratulations
