I'm not sure what I would have said if they had showed Jesus as black. Since Jesus is supposed to be the good guy and Satan is supposed to be the bad guy, the significance of showing Jesus as a black man might be different. I'm wondering why they did not show all the characters as being Middle Eastern in appearance, since that's what they were in real life.

Hollywood as a town in California does not like him. But you are erroneously using the term "Hollywood" to apply to an entire industry rather than a literal geographic location. Most TV shows and movies are not made in Hollywood. Or even in California anymore. Makes you sound like a backwoods yokel.

However, this is not the only thing to complain about if your wanting a very accurate historical portrayal of the people in the bible.

I noticed that most of the main characters are european (caucasion) actors. Moses, Abraham, and his descendants, noah, and Jesus are all played by white actors of european descent. They were not european, they were middle eatern hebrews. Typically jewwish people are lighter skinned than modern day middle easterners, but not that much lighter, they lived in the desert for centuries, they are bound to have gained some skin pigment.
