How this Forum has become a spiritual beacon for the lost and undecided. POSITIVITY!
Novel here, Regular forum visitor, and as far as I know, the only psychologist here who is active throughout the day.. (small client list).. ha.

When I first began visiting this forum last year, during the Indy explosion (which people have forgotten about) I was impressed with the teamwork as well as the veracity that members were not only theorizing, but researching, and postulating on the event. It was impressive to say the least, and although I've had my share of moments that made me absolutely furious to the point where I was discouraging myself from posting again, and wanted very badly to call some out on their childish ways.. I remained here, because of the solid base of intellectuals.

I've been an Atheist my whole life. I remember as a child I would ask the important questions, such as "Where is God", or "How come we cannot see God".. I was born a skeptic, and spent the last 35+ years in questioning the common belief.
Although I still question these things, I've been truly compelled by some of the members of this board. If you take away the negative visitors, whom only attempt to change belief
based on the simplest of arguments, I feel that there is truly an ounce of good in the "God" community that visits this forum.

I've slowly been altering my views, whether it is from the persistence of some of you, your views, or simply the nature in which you believe so strongly, it has changed me, if only in the most arbitrary way. To make this long story short, I am coming around to the prospect of some of the stories in the Bible, whether they are adaptations of earlier stories, or simply metaphorical. I cannot at this point, discredit all of them. I always denied that Jesus existed, or at least his impact on the world. I see that it is possible that he may have been someone important now. This thought would have never come into my head before I started visiting this forum. So I just wanted to thank some of you for your idealism, and your concise views and beliefs.
Although I do have qualms with some of you such as this character 'DGN', I do feel that most of you can reconcile a scientific world view with the stories of the Christ.

I must get back to work now, but I hope those of you who are changing my mind get around to reading this, and pat themselves on the back.

Also, to clarify, my belief system has not simply changed from Atheism to Agnosticism, but more so into an amalgamation that takes all religions into account, as well as some of the new age spiritualism that some of you here have made me hip to.
It's truly a beautiful thing to simply be able to form a hypothetical view on the divine nature of existence. I do believe that without taking everyone's views into perspective, that it truly limits any all-encompassing view to take shape.
My point being, without the array of different customs, beliefs and stories, I would not have reached this point, where I have a more solid view of the world I live in, and that is why I am thanking most of you.

 Quoting: Novel 36296449

The Indy boom, along with most of the other booms reported throughout country, are explosions caused by "secret" US government military attacks on its own citizens.

You just have to realize we live in a garrison state, and realize that some some information gets reported to you, some doesn't.

Apart from the many horror stories you may have read regarding psychiatry, and or the people who are giving out meds like they are candy.

I have prescribed one patient medication in the last several years. I mainly deal with PTSD, and things of that nature, and am completely against the idea of shelling out unnecessary medication to those who do NOT need it.
Unfortunately, I would consider you as someone who is negative on this forum, and therefore do not wish to engage you in any argument regarding my profession. I help people, and that is the extent of what I do. I help them deal with past experiences out of a general want to help them become more productive in their personal and professional lives.
I would not agree that what I do is worthy of being sent to hell..

I am sorry you are so negative.

This wasn't one of the 'Boom' sounds that have gotten so much attention lately. It was actually the house that blown up, along with the neighborhood around it. Some here hypothesized that it was a Drone strike, or something of that nature.
So when it gets confused with a boom sound, well, that is just proof that most have forgotten all about it...

Pantheism!
 Quoting: Forgotten

Available for public use, per their website.

[link to www.pantheism.net]

The basic concepts comprise:

Reverence for Nature and the wider Universe.

Active respect and care for the rights of all humans and other living beings.

Celebration or our lives in our bodies on this beautiful earth as a joy and a privilege.

Strong naturalism, without belief in supernatural realms, afterlives, beings or forces.

Respect for reason, evidence and the scientific method as our best ways of understanding nature and the Universe.

Promotion of religious tolerance, freedom of religion and complete separation of state and religion.

---------------------

The Statement

We revere and celebrate the Universe as the totality of being, past, present and future. It is self-organizing, ever-evolving and inexhaustibly diverse. Its overwhelming power, beauty and fundamental mystery compel the deepest human reverence and wonder.

All matter, energy, and life are an interconnected unity of which we are an inseparable part. We rejoice in our existence and seek to participate ever more deeply in this unity through knowledge, celebration, meditation, empathy, love, ethical action and art.

We are an integral part of Nature, which we should cherish, revere and preserve in all its magnificent beauty and diversity. We should strive to live in harmony with Nature locally and globally. We acknowledge the inherent value of all life, human and non-human, and strive to treat all living beings with compassion and respect.

All humans are equal centers of awareness of the Universe and nature, and all deserve a life of equal dignity and mutual respect. To this end we support and work towards freedom, democracy, justice, and non-discrimination, and a world community based on peace, sustainable ways of life, full respect for human rights and an end to poverty.

There is a single kind of substance, energy/matter, which is vibrant and infinitely creative in all its forms. Body and mind are indivisibly united.

We see death as the return to nature of our elements, and the end of our existence as individuals. The forms of "afterlife" available to humans are natural ones, in the natural world. Our actions, our ideas and memories of us live on, according to what we do in our lives. Our genes live on in our families, and our elements are endlessly recycled in nature.

We honor reality, and keep our minds open to the evidence of the senses and of science's unending quest for deeper understanding. These are our best means of coming to know the Universe, and on them we base our aesthetic and religious feelings about reality.

Every individual has direct access through perception, emotion and meditation to ultimate reality, which is the Universe and Nature. There is no need for mediation by priests, gurus or revealed scriptures.

We uphold the separation of religion and state, and the universal human right of freedom of religion. We recognize the freedom of all pantheists to express and celebrate their beliefs, as individuals or in groups, in any non-harmful ritual, symbol or vocabulary that is meaningful to them.

Jesus is THE ANSWER. In the beginning, He was.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning wih God. As many as received him, to them He gave the right to become children of Gen, even to those who believe in His name. The faith that saves is that which believes what the Bible declares about Jesus.
The fulness of the Godhead dwells in Christ; when we are in Christ all the fullness or completeness of the Godhead lives in us. That is what He created us for.... a dwelling place. He wants to dwell within us.

Jesus is the force which scientists are unable to describe... they understand there is a Force which holds all things together... the Bible says that in Him (Jesus), all things are held together.
