Dream interpretation request - my first dying dream

the dream is faulty, a laptop in water would not electrocute you.

so rest assured there is nothing to it.

I die almost every night in my dreams...

This morning, after I got my daughter off to school, i went back to sleep for about an hour and had this disturbing dream.

The dream begins with me taking a bath, but I am fully clothed. Black sweats, black hoodie and black boots (my usual lounge-around-the-house attire). I think to myself that its strange that I am wearing clothes in the tub. But, I am not in there to get clean. I must be soaking...

My daughter yells up from downstairs, "Mom?" (she is wondering where I am)
I yell down, "I am in the tub."

Next thing I see is my laptop perched on a table next to the tub. It begins to slide down and the right corner of it gets into the water. I grab it and immediately realize I am being electrocuted. I think "oh no" and "that was stupid to grab it".

I feel the electricity grab hold of me and I am dying and I should pound my fist on the side of the tub so my daughter can hear me, but I can't move. I feel myself dying, slipping into black, knowing that nobody will hear.

I wake.


sidenote: i am not a bath person. i am strictly a shower person.

this dream is giving me the creeps. any interpretation is appreciated. never had a dying dream before.

you know, come to think of it, i have had apocalyptic dreams before. two in particular that come to mind where death was inevitable. but i did not experience the feeling of death taking me over in the dream. in this dream from today, i could feel myself dying and that there was nothing i could do to save myself

once, when i was nine years old, my grampa took me to visit a horse farm. i am a city kid and had never been to the country. anyway, while grampa was talking with his farmer friend, i mosey over to the electric fence and put my hands right on it. it grabbed hold of me (the eletricity) and i couldn't move. grampa came over and cut me loose.

i could feel that same electric shock feeling only greatly intensified.

some dreams you can literally feel the pain....

2 weeks ago i dreamed about asteroids [of all things] and one blew up near me.... so close that it burnt my face.... I remember looking at myself in the mirror in the dream and seeing half my face burnt with my left eye melted shut!

It felt like I was burning for real....I woke up in a puddle of sweat!

so possibly a flashback of sorts packaged in a new dream.

regarding dying and dreams..

i fell off a cliff once hit the bottom.. woke up instantly hurling my body off my bed and landing flat on back wide awake.. one of my most memorable dreams

now that can be scary!...depending on if you are flying by yourself or solo....flying solo crashing tends to be less scary for some reason...

i've had dreams like other people driving with me as a passenger and being driven up wall like hills at scary speeds fearing that we would tip over and feeling out of control, etc. i have had dreams where godzilla like demons the size of 10 stories were stomping thru my town searching for me.

i have had many creepy dreams in my life. but never ever have i felt myself dying. i have felt scared out of my mind, but never had to face my own death in a dream

nah, my trusted great pyrenees is at my feet, happily sharing my chicken sandwich for lunch.

and are you now worried that this new occurance this change signifies some relevance in real life possibly the ultimate fear of the dream signifying death soon ??

Wow, Salt, what a dream! I think GLPollack gave some really good insight on this one.

As a side note, I have off and took a nap this afternoon, had pretty startling dreams, too. Wonder if anything is going on with the Earth's electromagnetic field or anything? Sometimes fluctuations bring out some really strange dreams for me. Just a thought.

you just reminded me of one of the scariest dream I think I may have ever had....

Large Giants [the size of tall buildings] were killing people left and right....the whole dream was me running and hiding....non stop fear!

now THAT is most interesting. maybe you should start a thread on that...?

wow, yes! the running and hiding and feeling the great foot stomps that shake the earth and the screams like cloverfield in the distance...
