Women, children and dogs; all have a need for discipline. It is not politically correct to speak of it, but that's how it is.

A dog needs to know who the pack leader is, otherwise it becomes nervous/neurotic, and is unstable.

A child wants boundaries; and will push until an adult shows him where the line is. The child then feels secure, knowing there is a boundary, an enforcer, a top dog.

Same for women. They want an Alpha male, although may not admit to it in these politically correct times. But they crave it. They want to know the male they are with will set them straight, draw the line, and protect them if need be.
