That highway is dangerous though. It's downhill 55-65 mph speed limits, crowded tractor trailer traffic, and huge cliffs off some of the roads..

I love how they blame the fog, like that's something new. It's the fact people are driving too fast, too close and probably using cell phones. Pileups are becoming the 'norm'.

When I was trucking, I'd ride the jake all the way down
the hill to the NC line,
but I think some guys put it in Georgia overdrive.
They'd be passing me like I was standing still.
Very very hairy.

It is terrible that there was such a horrible accident, but I have a question.
The news said there were many signs lit up on the interstate warning people about the fog.
And the news also said that, in spite of the warnings, many people continued to drive way too fast for the road conditions.
My question is why didn't people heed the warnings and slow down???? It seems like a no-brainer.
I don't understand why so many people didn't heed the warning signs..
Is there anybody that can explain this???????

Saturday morning about 8 AM we drove through that fog too in KY, I've never seen fog that thick...I was doing 50 on the interstate and a cop passed me maybe doing 55 tops...
