South Korea, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel ... we need to STOP spending money on them!!

We've spent TRILLIONS pouring money into defending so many wealthy nations. These countries can very much afford to spend to defend themselves.

This is MADNESSS. We're trillions of dollars in debt. We're attacking one another politically in the struggle for every budget dollar.

And yet we piss away unbelievable sums to defend these countries.

Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~

Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~

Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~

Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~

“When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Financiers are without patriotism and without decency.”

And since when did the U.S. ever get help from anybody???

The only real help it's ever gotten in war is from the U.K. The U.K. pays its own way, it's not like the U.S. subsidizes their own national defense.

Totally agree!

Not only end all of these hand outs, but what about the military bases in these countries? Most, if not all, could be shut down or turn over to them. Why should we pay for their security?

As an example, why do we have military bases in Germany? It's been 20+ years since the end of "The Cold War", yet we spend Billions of Dollars there.

We need to pull back, shore up our borders & take care of our own.

Sorry, but I don't consider a token presence in Iraq and Afghanistan as any real help.

How many Dutch troops in those theaters? 1000? 2000 at most? When the U.S. had 150,000? Puh-leez.

Netherlands couldn't wait to get out of Iraq and Afghanista. Dutch combat forces left Aghanistan in 2010.

Not that I blame them. Afghanistan is another one of those stupid wars we shouldn't be in, in the first place.

We kicked Taliban ass. That should've ended it. We never should've taken on regional security and "nation building."
