You see it does have an orbit of 3600 years but it does not orbit the SUN.
The Planet itself has some rather amazing qualities as well as some pretty far out tech. Its trajectory is actually straight through the SUN.

That's right its traveling at an incredible speed and will burst through the SUN.
Various energy transfers take place and the body itself emerges from the SUN at a far reduced speed. As it closes upon Earths position it grows larger then it blocks out the SUN for about three days and passes into an incredibly slow path 'BETWEEN' the Earth and the MOON.
Then it takes about 360 Years to build up momentum and continue its orbit.
