No but he could hit South Korea which would bring in the US.

He could hit Japan which would bring in the US.

He could even possibly hit Guam which would definitely bring in the US bigtime.

Starting to wonder how many of those outlandish dprk statements ACTUALLY ORIGINATED in the dprk.

For years we had little video, and very selective entrance into nk. Now we have reporters tweeting from inside the ministry room with pictures of cruise missile trajectories on the wall....

What could Kim possibly gain that is positive by launching a missile at South Korea or anywhere else?

Constant bombardment of threats. He wants his way, so he threatens (giving worthless warning). He learned this behavior, in the past it worked. This should have never happened. Giving into threats in the past. It's gone over the top now. He may do something stupid to save face.
Learn from this folks. Never give into threats. Blackmail. Walk away. Because I WILL NEVER END. DO NOT add fuel to the fire.
Our country needs to allow him to save face. How? Not by giving into his demands. But, by looking at the whole picture..have you seen their people..starving..we need to be humanitarians, and provide food for these people. We must make sure the food is used by the people. NK needs help to feed their people. All nations should participate. Perhaps, if Kim sees gestures of kindness, he may follow the example. People embrace kindness.

Update:

Kim Jong Un is in the process of calling his generals to order a strike. Expect all numbers to be dialed in succession by 5pm

That didn't look like much of a benign test.

I also getting more and more the impression that this is an inside war more than aggression towards the South or the US.

If I intend to start any war, that would require large movement of People / Gear.
