It's the biggest improvement in speed I've seen in a long time. Do a lot of homework before you pick and go with the fastest on both read and writes. Two in RAID 0 nearly doubles it :) Frater oh boy, now i must do this i guess two 50GB ones, they aren't cheap yes You Must :) If I were to buy today I'd get two of these: [link to www.newegg.com] What I have is almost identical in specs and while I got a good deal on them at the time, for the money today I'd go with the Mushkins. These are the Corsairs: [link to www.newegg.com] two 120's in RAID 0 gives you double speed and 240 gigs of space. Plenty for loading games on. games load so fast! Then I use large standard drives for storage. AMD's 8 core Vishera 8350 is best bang for the buck for gaming IMO, at least for newer games that can utilize it. Spend the savings on a better video card. Frater im running an I7 3770k @ 3.90 with gtx 660. runs smooth.can play anything on high with no probs.Im playing defiance atm.. |

The first Descent game was pretty groundbreaking too, but was hard to play w/ just a keyboard cause of all the degrees of freedom 3 trans, 3 rot. Needed a flightstick and didn't have one, but still cool game. I always liked playing the Ridge Racer games in the arcade too. |
