The british SAS, and i'm not just saying that because i'm british.

alot of US special op teams come through Hereford, and spend alot of time on the beacons sharpening their trade.

So if the best of the US special forces are sent to train under the SAS, that makes them the best. Not to mention that very few of the elite british forces are sent to train with their yank counterparts. The yanks learn more from us than we do from them.

Also the british army has the best officer training academy in sandhurst, hence why lots of other countries clamour to get their officers trained there.

To the american chap who said the USMC is the best, to you sir I say bollocks. I have seen the USMC in action and if you compare them to the royal marines, they look like a regular unit. A royal marine does a harder PRC than a US marine, in fact passing a royal marine PRC is good enough to get you through the entire USMC training program, where for a potential royal marine passing PRC is the first step.

I served in war zones on and off since i was 19, Bosnia, Iraq, afghanistan, i've seen soldiers from other UN countries, and while most of them are a good bunch. when it comes to professional soldiers, the brits out do pretty much everyone.

The US Secret Government is ahead of everyone else as they have been working in collaboration with ET since the 40's; have time travel; teleportation; jump rooms that teleport personal to the Mars bases and elsewhere; back engineered space craft; dimensional travel; and technology that is easily 50 years beyond anyone else. I hate to bring this up but it to is a reality. Clones that have been developed for military purposes along with ET hybrids. There are also those biological robotic units if one wants to call it that have specialized training for specific tasks.

I would agree with Vietnam being the best and most bad-ass military in the world - at least in the 70s. The combined asses of the US army, air force, navy and marine corps got handed to them by the Vietnamese.

Dont know about the most skillful but some of the toughest are the Spanish foreign legion they train with live ammunition and you probably will loose a few teeth in the training process.
