This kid is totally awesome!!!!!!!! The teacher is a fat turd and he went easy on her. She should resign and the kid should teach. Seriously.

I am teacher and this kid makes me want to jump out of my seat with joy and TEACH! I would love to have a student like him. Please tell me this is not a skit. It would kill me if it was.

So the black lady teacher says it's just a "paycheck" to her. The student took exception to that, "it's his future, his country's future". This boy deserves the medal of Honur and the teacher needs to be in prison. The president of the United States should have a dinner in his honor instead of some stupid satanic rapper. imho Good for the boy!

He is right about what he is saying.

However, Mr. Sloppy is wrong as to where and when he choose to say it.

Those kinds of conversations should be in private.

No doubt his student teaching days in that school are over and he will have to wait another semester to do any student teaching elsewhere.

Not to mention, like most newbies, he really does think he knows it all and will spend his entire first year learning that he does not.

He is also the kind of teacher the kids walk all over because they think he is their "friend" - at least until it comes time to grade them. Then suddenly he is not their friend and if he has any grit to him at all, will grade them on their actual performance.

He should take his concerns up with his university student teaching supervisor as in letting him know that he did not pay all that tuition money only to be trained by an inferior teacher.

That was very interesting. Very courageous. I remember sitting in classes in Flint, Michigan (I was and am from FL but was there temporarily) listening to stuff that I had learned in school 2 years ago. That was in middle school. No doubt I had a teacher who was not on the ball or not interested in teaching.

He should have given this kid a call for standing up for himself, not some gay NBA player for coming out of the closet!

This is a high school, and Mrs. Phung the classroom teacher who only knows how to say uh-huh, is a high school teacher (and I use the term loosely.) She got BUSTED by this young student who has ten times the brain power and passion as his so-called excuse for a teacher.

Pretty sad when the student is more passionate about learning than the teacher. You could just tell in her voice that she didn't give a crap. A good teacher would accept criticism and ask the students how they can make the class more enjoyable.

Needless to say... well done!

I had two awesome teachers in my life.
One was my English teacher Mr. T..T for Thauwald. Typical Friday spelling tests were things like playing the theme song to Jaws, before the word shark, or some such thing. He was the clownin-est most straight faced funny teacher I ever had.

The second was just for a simple CNA course. This teach would jump up on her desk, and tell highly animated stories after our major weekly tests if we all passed. It was highly encouraged that we all did! I don't remember a Friday without her

The good ones are out there, too bad you can't pick em.
