Anonymous Coward User ID: 20093181 United States 05/27/2013 05:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, we military vets that where educated with a nuclear background in the late 70's to late 80's totally understand and know how bad this is. It hasn't even peaked yet. It's just the begining. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27489647 Very few people now in their early 30's on down will not even think or have the education to connect the dots when lots of people within the next 10 to 15 years become sick or there are birth defects in mass. It's such a large crime agaist huminity and the planet that it's hard to wrap your head around it. Sadly, tradgically, we do not have the tech to fight it. Only the insane would develope and us a substance to boil water that they have no ability nor tech to neutralize the substance if it escapes a controlled envoroment. This is nothing short of murder. A very slow murder that takes years to finish, with countless victims. This will be one if not the greatest black mark in human evolution when looked back on 300 years from now. They will still be fighting it. Couple this, with every other front that we are being attacked on, and Im not sure Humanity will survive the next 300 years, or much life on the planet for that matter. I think the Earth is coming into a period potentially, whereby she takes a break from all life for a while, and then when ready, sprouts the seed again. Our presupposition mentally, that we will always be around, and that our species is bullet proof, has led us to act in ways that actually threaten our existence. he earth does not "take a break", she has no brain the earth as part of the larger universe may not require a brain per say, as the universe has evolved to remedy its ills without thought. e.g. anti-bodies do what anti-bodies do and they do it without thought, but perhaps via a collective consciousness. Nice try at muddying the waters. We evolved with natural sources of radiation. We did not evolve with man-made radio-nuclides in our food and water. |

PallasAthene User ID: 39793639 United Kingdom 05/27/2013 08:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this is the real news. Have people been looking into the reason this happened? As in why tptb did this and the whole "new security cameras put in a week before" thing including the rumour about the reactor being shut down/moved, the Iran thing? What do you think? Such a shame, I really wanted to visit Japan but now not going to happen. |

So if MSM is to report radiation readings......or some stranger on the internet......are we all of a sudden just supposed to trust them? Just curious How do you know what is really happening over there without going over and doing readings yourself.......or having someone who you personally know and trust do the readings? I have my own geiger counter here in the Midwest. Over the past year the 24 hour average Cesium readings have been in the range of 100 to 130 uSv/h. The average background reported in the manual is between 100 and 200. I use a Gamma Scout......which is rated pretty high. But who knows.....maybe it was programmed to give false readings. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27235266 United States 05/27/2013 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A typical pro-nuke response.. typical and despicable. Quoting: Cav427 I ask you, sir.. How many of those radiation sources that you have presented originate from a fission source..? How many are radio-nuclides..? Actually all do, either from Natural Fission Like Oklo in Africa or From nuclear Fusion from a supernova. Yes, I am Pro Nuclear. It is a shame that we have been stolen the right to cheap and plentiful power by the use of 60 year old designs and cost cutting. The sad part is movies like "Chernobyl Diaries" and the dumbing down of children in public schools has made people think idiots like Helen Caldicot are geniuses. I do not think polution either nuclear or otherwise is something we purposely should do, however I know that Fukushima is not ending the world, and also Chernobyl there are many species of animals that are striving mutation and cancer free almost 30 years later. We have a lot of problems, but the big bad nuclear boogie man is not one of them. Pro Nuclear whitewash. A single Alpha emitter such as plutonium in the lungs well damage about 10,000 cells in a two millimeter path. Do the math as to what higher doses will accomplish! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 40074766 United States 05/27/2013 10:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To everyone who calls this fear mongering..this is a fact of life get over it, were fuked. The sea lions, walruses, seals and now polar bears are dying in huge numbers. L.A. Fish and Wildlife calls it an emergency, it is the worst they have ever seen. The symptoms that these animals all share are as follows; undersized lymph nodes, brain deformity, oozing sores, labored breathing, missing hair, burns around eyes, noses, various other spots, lethargy and death. This all started happening after Fukishima and has so far hit, Alaska, Russia, Canada, all along the west coast, Hawaii and even Australia..has reported mass fish and whale die offs. Fear mongering? Do the math idiots..If you want to live in a pretend lala land that is fine but don't deny it to other people who may want to get the Fuke out. The Polar Bears are not dying as of yet, they are showing signs of sores and hair loss. Why? Well because they eat the animals with all of the radiation and in return they are getting smaller doses of radiation posioning. The Pacific Ocean will take a long time to recover but denial=stupidity..About the only thing you can do is not eat seafood. |

The meters are only useful in high contamination areas. Low-level contamination will be confused with background radiation. They don't provide much discernment. |

It will spread far and wide killing many fishes and mammals. The ancient dragon human like fish is furious, they had called upon the god's and saint's for help. Definitely not a good time when the fiery dragon tails come sweeping by. TPTB and fucked your world up. |
