May be the following is a foreshadowing of the ascension of Jesus and the rapture:

Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

I think people are mixing two different steps.

1) FIRST Christ's Return: HIS BIRTH.

2) SECOND Christ's Return: HIS FINAL MINISTRY.

For example, the coming of the KING-MESSIAH in the Old Testament was announced like this:
