Anonymous Coward User ID: 33903675 United States 06/01/2013 09:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm on my phone right now and have had some interesting sightings myself. I'll quote this post later with a few. They're mostly just blinking lights though. I will say my friend saw a "meteor" cross the entire sky last night leaving a glowing trail that persisted for almost 5 minutes. Technically a UFO because I've never heard of a meteor leaving a trail for that long. Not to mention he said it appeared to be pure light and not a debris trail. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33903675 I will say my friend saw a "meteor" cross the entire sky last night leaving a glowing trail that persisted for almost 5 minutes. Technically a UFO because I've never heard of a meteor leaving a trail for that long. Not to mention he said it appeared to be pure light and not a debris trail. A while back I saw a meteor that left a long lasting trail. It was just perceptible and sort of resembled a very light contrail. I figure it was just smoke or possibly H2O from the meteor that was chrystalizing exctly like a contrail. It lasted maybe a minute or so before it faded away. Ground light illuminated it a bit I think. Last Edited by Unixlike on 06/01/2013 10:21 PM |
Unixlike (OP) User ID: 40477611 United States 06/01/2013 10:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have another story, though it is not my own. My step dad told me this one and his parents said they also saw it. It was when he was a kid. The US had just put up it's first communications satellite called Echo 1. It was brighter than a star just after dark when the sun could still hit it. The thing was really just a big silver balloon. I just wikipedia'd it and it was in orbit in 1960. Anyway, this was a big deal back then and people everywhere went out to see it pass over. My step dad and his parents were outside to watch it. While it was overhead they claim to have witnessed two points of light intercept the satellite and circle it a few times before flying off again. The two objects came from different directions and left in different directions. They said the objects travelled way too fast to be airplanes. Obviously we had nothing that could do that so the question is what were the objects? Last Edited by Unixlike on 06/01/2013 10:22 PM |
Unixlike (OP) User ID: 40477611 United States 06/01/2013 10:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have one more story, again not my own. My grandparents used to take their kids coon hunting sometimes. On this night they were out hunting in some woods not far from where I am now. It was my grandfather, grandmother, my mom, and two of my uncles. While they were out they saw an object that "zipped" around in the sky like a humming bird, but at tremendous speeds. They said it was high in the sky and could traverse the entire sky and then stop on a dime in the blink of an eye. They said it changed colors and shapes. It apparently came down quite low at times because they told of buzzing sounds. They said it would instantly accelerate straight up and go out of sight. Then it would reappear again. As crazy as it is they were surprised when they got home that night because they had been out hours longer than they thought. |
