No point keeping it locked away from the public and other countries, however they are. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38105816 China isn't "the public", you imbecile. It's a military conquest machine. What have they conquered exactly? You mean the formation of the empire a millenium ago? They were never imperialistic, unlike some others. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 41122906 United Kingdom 06/04/2013 03:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For the first time, the Obama administration invited China's People's Liberation Army to participate in the 2014 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, an annual maritime exercise that enlists a variety of nations typically allied with the United States. But in wake of concerted Chinese attempts to obtain U.S. military secrets, not everyone is thrilled about the two naval powers floating side-by-side. Quoting: AtsuiPanda "The administration made a mistake by letting China play a role in the Rim of the Pacific exercises," Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH), chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia, tells The Cable. "They will likely utilize these exercises to their advantage: stealing our military secrets and better understanding our military strategy." Michael Auslin, a resident scholar of Asian security studies at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, agrees. "They will get a better understanding of our tactics and procedures as they see how we can coordinate with our allies and friends," he told The Cable. "I would much rather see them mystified about how well or closely we work with the Japanese or Australians. If they come into RIMPAC and see the improved communications between the fleets, that is valuable from a military perspective." oblunt User ID: 40369144 United States 06/04/2013 04:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's all bullshit. Symbiotic government propaganda on both sides. All the talk of Chinese pirating our media, products, technology, etc. are bullshit. Publicized "fear of Chinese hackers" is a PR campaign to validate this false reality. All those pirated goods/technologies are no doubt sold to the Chinese, or traded "off the books" to benefit the owners yet alleviate none of the national debt to China – cutting out the middle man – the poor of both countries. In reality, the Chinese (like many other "enemy" nations) are wise to attempt to block all US influence from their citizens. That's not to justify all of their other actions... But are they so foolish to block out the bad aspects when they can pick and choose which good ones they want? All with the secret blessing of Uncle Sam, the "overseer", judge and jury. |

robaloie User ID: 40800627 United States 06/04/2013 04:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bush Jr. gave them an entirely Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40977769 intact P-3 Orion spy plane. Bush Jr. gave the Russians an entirely intact Apache attack helicopter. Clinton gave them all of our heavy lifting multi-stage rocket technology. Carter gave them the Panama canal. Obama has given them a clear path to world domination. so impeach him and replace him with who? Last I checked Repulicrates and Demolicans are planning this together. Don't blame me though, I didn't vote for Obamney. Don't you see their divide and conquer technique through politics is how they get us to choose sides against each other and never revolt together as a people. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27586925 United States 06/04/2013 04:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How can you be considered a thief when it is handed to you? Neither party can claim theft. China (or Russia) cannot be vilified for having "secrets" handed to them. I cannot imagine what would be private enough to be considered a secret but the receiving party is not guilty of ANYTHING. Military secrets are a joke. Political secrets run the gamut from state department information to sex scandals. None of which are important enough to be considered secret. It is amazing what secrets have been revealed in the last six months. Which revealing did any harm to the people of these united States? The only harm I have seen is embarrassment to the 'keepers' of the secrets. No wonder they did not want the secrets revealed. It would be considered a big joke if the US Govt did not have guns to play with and have proven the propensity to use said guns on ANYONE who threatens to embarrass them. |
