Stop importing and aiding and abetting islamic terrorists. Letting a bunch of islamos into a country only increases the need for pat downs at the airport and spying. The problem is that the Obama cult is using the resources to spy on innocent Americans, while helping out their islamic and foreign cronies. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32360365 Your ignorance and lack of research is showing. Most terrorists are Israeli and Americans. The Islamic threat in the US is minute and highly ineffective in comparison. |

Depending on what you think the cloud is, you could believe that most are already utilizing it. You could also believe that it is not much more than marketing lore. A certain degree of both is actually true. Think for one moment and try to put into words how you would define the "cloud" to a non-technical person. In a purely technical essence, the cloud is only in minimal degrees a variation of the infrastructure solutions that have been readily available for over the past decade. I'm a architect for a cloud computing companym and I can attest to the fact that the data centers and networks that we're designing and implementing today do not differ that much from the SaaS-based, multi-tenant data centers and networks that I was designing a decade ago. In fact, those same data centers and networks are currently being sold as the "cloud." In it's most basic form, the cloud is really only about on-demand, pay per usage, utility computing. |

Quoting: Doomer1981 Obama says it will be harder to detect threats against the U.S. now that the two top-secret tools to target terrorists have been so thoroughly publicized. At turns defensive and defiant while speaking to reporters on Friday, Obama stood by the spy programs revealed this week. The National Security Agency has been collecting the phone records of hundreds of millions of Americans each day, creating a database through which it can learn whether terror suspects have been in contact with people in the U.S. It also was disclosed this week that the NSA has been gathering all Internet usage — audio, video, photographs, emails and searches — from nine major U.S. Internet providers, including Microsoft and Google, in hopes of detecting suspicious behavior that begins overseas. Hey brother ... I also work for a cloud computing company. What a hoot it would be to know there is someone from my company on GLP. Well best not to know, but hellow and welcome. I'm always amused at the "cloud" terminology because it really fogs up the issue, so to speak. Makes it sound like magic when it's just a mechanism for putting multiple operating systems on a single compute box. Interesting to hear you were designing multi-tenant datacenters a decade ago. There is no compromise in 100% Security. Risk acceptance is a compromise...doesn't make it gray, but simply "Not Secure". You either are 100% secure (or not). If you are not, that is a risk that needs to be accepted and understood by everyone that has a stake in it (meaning we the people). I am not talking about a Company accepting risk of an vulnerable OS because it is a mission critical system. I am speaking of the elimination of our freedoms for security threats they created. Ever ask yourself why the U.S. is not liked in the Middle East?? We go and force our views on them ... look how mad everyone gets when they come to us forcing their views on us (you see it everywhere recently)?? It pisses you off as bad as they are pissed off at us (Global anilination if we are not carefull). Now, you are correct, "The cloud and security can live together"...as long as the risks are known/understood by all (not just a few). I personally can live with risk...we all do everyday by "driving cars, flying in planes, list is endless, etc...". Problem with "We The People" today is they do not seek the information that can set them free (know the truth) and therefore they are unable to make "informed decisions", so the decisions they make are made with information they are given and they do not have enough drive to seek the TRUTH or even question the ones telling them the "supposed truth".
