We have 'so many accents' because we have been here for more than 200 yrs...Back to when there were tribal populations who rarely met others..except for battle.
You can find an accent difference between two villages or towns just a few miles apart.

Social climbers do use an homogenised accent, the Queen's english.
They believe to get anywhere in life you must speak 'properly'. The contrived accent of the royals, that you yanks love so much.

Personally I believe regional accents are the colour in our language, and the queen's english a dull and lifeless monotone.

she is speaking clearly when you put earphones on.she was waiting for her husband to come home,then she heard noise like giant cold water poring in to a fire .she thought it is a plane crash.Her two boys were out side when she heard it.When she went out two kids were lying on the ground shouting " there is a saucer above the roof."

It was tilted and two pilots sitting together,she though its a Russian ufo,then she realised it cant be as it shot straight up in seconds.she was hiding inside kitchen table with her son till her husband come home. She was describing about their dress.They had a hair like old kings.she thought it is a hallucination but as her two sons also saw it, she realised it was real.neighbours ridiculed her.

Thanks OP. Very Interesting. These people aren't crazy or lying. Watch her eye movement (always to the right when describing her experience). She actually had that experience. If she were telling a lie, she would be looking to the left.

The fact that its old adds a bit of validity to it. She had her experience in a time when the internet wasn't available and couldn't have picked it up somewhere. We also have people who have the same encounters in modern times and these are people you wouldn't say that they are computer savvy.
