It's a truly beautiful place, made even more beautiful during my visit by a sudden but brief downpour, and a nice and VERY inexpensive meal of Lao food in a restaurant overlooking the Mekong River. Beerlao, one of the finest beers in Asia, was something like 50¢ for a half liter too! |

Looking forward to learning more about it :) Quoting: Sloane :BuddhaParkLaos: Angkor dwarfs any roman, Egyptian, or any other religious site. And this new city i just read about the Australians who have used ground sensing radar to accuratly mark out housed approx one million people. I think that would qualify as interesting :) |
