This will be a bit of a long answer so bear with me:
Christians can see the volume of the book is about God and his Son Jesus but what they can't see is the hidden layer of Jesus and his Son Adam. Jesus wants Adam to have dominion over over everything as was the plan in Genesis 1.

So people have been programmed to believe every verse that deals with kingship automatically goes in the "this is Jesus" file....and Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the verses but there is a secondary fulfillment hidden because people can't remember that Jesus' wanted Adam to have dominion over the earth and everything in it including the people.

The volume of the bible is about God and his Son

1 John 5:7:
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

We know from scripture "the word" is Jesus and Jesus created everything(John chapter 1)

Jesus created his son Adam in the likeness and image of Jesus

Genesis 5 tells us Adam was created both male and female and called Adam:
5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

Genesis 5:
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

To be created in the likeness and image of Jesus is to be created both masculine and feminine, the masculine representing kingship and the feminine representing priesthood as we know Jesus is both King and Priest after the order of melchelzedek having no beginning or ending so therefore Jesus was always King and Priest and Adam being after the likeness and image of Jesus was created king and priest then separated in the garden Adam keeping the kingship and Eve the priesthood

Chapter 1 of Genesis shows Adam being created in heaven chapter 2 shows Adam being placed in a flesh body on earth
and Eve coming forth from Adam and taking one side(priesthood side) of Adam and Adam keeping the kingship side so Adam can reproduce and make the physical kingdom.

Jesus' plan for Adam and when I say Adam I mean Adam and Eve as Eve came forth from Adam and is one side(priesthood) of Adam, was for Adam to have dominion over all creation.

Genesis 1:28:
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

To have dominion there are only 2 things that make up dominion in a world

1. Government(kingship)
2. Religion(priesthood)

these are the 2 things that run a world and Adam and Eve were both promised dominion. Adam the kingship so there is only one other office left to fill which leaves Eve the priesthood

So now the answer to your question:

Psalms 2:

7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
This also is showing the man-child of Rev. 12 that rules the nations with a "rod of iron" but I'm trying to keep this short

So the question is:

Do you think this is Jesus receiving the heathen for inheritance and all the earth for his possession? Or is it Jesus giving his son Adam(the king) the inheritance and all the earth for possession as was intended in Genesis 1?

To me Adam represent the kingship on earth of Jesus' Kingship in heaven and Eve represents the priesthood on earth of Jesus' Priesthood in heaven as Jesus is both KING AND PRIEST after the order of melchelzedek and Adam and Eve represent the levitical priesthood that was promised to be eternal and davidic kingship also promised to be eternal on earth. These 2 offices levitic(levi) and davidic(judah) are 2 different tribes and can't be fulfilled by one person or it automatically cancels out the levitic and davidic and turns it into a melchelzedek priesthood and kingship and this is not what needs fulfilled as Jesus already fulfilled that office which is a heavenly office and the dominion is promised to be of the earth.

I'm not saying the 2 witnesses will be in male and female physical bodies in the last days because the only purpose of Eve being in a female body in the beginning was to create the kingdom. On the contrary I believe the 2 witnesses will be in the flesh bodies of 2 males but the spirit in those 2 witnesses will be the firstborn Adam and Eve.

When the 2 witnesses arrive I believe they will fulfill their purpose in the offices or roles that were shown of those in the bible. For example the first office that will be utilized is the office of Elijah before the "day of the Lord" to try to turn the hearts of the children to the fathers and vice versa...notice the offices that the 2 witnesses will use are going to be of a separation of a priest and king type: here are some examples:

Eve offices:
Elijah = priesthood
Joshua = priesthood (zechariah Joshua)
Aaron = priesthood

Adam offices:
Moses = kingship
Zerubabbel = kingship
Enoch = kingship

I'm just going to stop here so the answer doesn't get overly long.

That's what I call a complete answer, thanks Waterman!

I do agree on the part where you say that many messages are hidden in the bible. I think it is up to the spirit to reveal specific messages to every one willing to listen.
What I see tho, is that the message is kind of personalized and can only be understood or interpreted by the one the message was adressed / aimed to. That could explain why people just keep on arguing on different verses and interpretations every day in life or on forums without most of the time concrete results. But it gets interesting for outsiders like me willing to improve their knowledge. :)

To develop a little more on the psalms mentioned above:
It seems that this message is directed to the manchild so it would seem that he will not be aware of who he actually is until he has received "God's confirmation."

The parallel that I make with the next 2 verses from Zec and Pslam is that the message from god about the fact that manchild has finally been begotten shall come in a shape of confirmation from the two witnesses that would recognize him.

Now, my theory would be as follows:

Manchild knows that he's different and receiving the spirit every day but he is not aware of his place in God's plan.
He would have received the gift of recognizing God's chosen ones and bring them together. In the chosen one shall be the 2 witnesses that the man child could even introduce to each others.

To try to give also my opinion about another post above about the meaning of: "Turning the hearts of the children to the Father", well it could mean providing guidance to people who have lost their ways to God. And by that I do not mean endless speeches about how bad they gonna burn in Hell if they do not rectify their path, but more about reminded them that there is hope, that there is love, that there are literally millions of miracles happening around them daily and try to make them recognize them. This could be their way to salvation.

How possible would this be based on the time frame of the scriptures that you are very well versed in? I do not have much knowledge about the scriptures that's why I am seeking your guidance. (now mentioning AC 227 too :)))

One Love,

Everyone has such a marvelous sense of humor tonight. I am loving it.

D.You may not be very knowledgeable in scripture, but you are spiritually insightful in an innocent concept. I like that about your statements and opinions. Remember this, the word of God declares the letter of the law (word) killeth, but the spirit giveth life [2Cor.3:6].

Give me one with spiritual insight over a hundred cognizant of the meaning of the word. Nevertheless, the combination of both would be preferable.

Many years ago I read a true story of a man who was considered to be the village idiot. He could not read, write or comprehend the deeper things in life. Nevertheless, in his youth he was often taken to church to listen to the sermons. One day he decided he needed the savior in his life. He simply to the best of his ability one day prayed and ask Jesus to be his savior and lord. He had a wondrous conversion and he began to witness to everyone who would listen. He would stand in the village square and preach to the best of his ability the sermons he used to hear at church.

Now this poor man would preach the characters of the bible, but not in order of their deeds. He would preach with all of his heart how Samson opened the Red Sea, and Moses built an ark and saved man from destruction, and of course how Jesus had saved him from eternal death.

Now many would come out often to listen to the poor man speak, for it was their joy of entertainment and time of mockery and laughter and scorn toward the poor fellow, for often he would lose his way, and stumble along. Nevertheless, he would always preach in convection for he loved the word as he knew it.

Well, of course after many years of mockery, and scorn and laughter because of the poor man's ignorance. He once again began to preach one day. Again many gathered for their day's entertainment, and also was joined in the crowd a young stranger to that village. One passing through. This young man began to hear the commotion of the scorn, the laughter, and the mocking. He ventured down to the square to witness this event. Now as he began to listen to the poor man in the strength of his convection he was greatly moved. For you see he did not understand why the people laughed or was not moved by such a great message. For you see the young man knew nothing of God's word or the stories of his faithful servants. Therefore, when he heard how Moses built that ark and saved all mankind, he was touched with emotion. When he heard how Samson, through God, was moved to open the sea, he was amazed.

However, when the poor man began to speak about Jesus and all that he had done for him, The young man was greatly moved and cried out... I need this Jesus for my Lord and savior. The poor man simply told him "to call to Jesus to forgive him of all the bad things he had done and that you want to belong to his service." The man fell to his knees as the crowd became still, and in the silence of the once noisy square, one man cried out to the God of eternal life and so was that life granted to that young man.

now it has been many years since I read that story, but it concluded that the young man went on from there and started his own ministry of great fame. He was later in his life considered one of the great pioneers in the early Christian ministries in Britain/ America. It has been attributed to him as winning over a million souls to Christ over his lifetime...through the foolish efforts of one poor man of no consequence. For he knew only the spirit of the law (Word), but not the letter of the law (word.)

Thank you for sharing the story and for not denying me for simplicity. Still got heaps of time to learn. :)

I believe that when the square becomes the circle, great wonders can be achieved. This is how I would interpret the message above. It was a very well chosen story which resonated well.

Would you mind explaining to me what would the following sentence mean to you : To leave God for God.

One Love,
D.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43009116

With somewhat little information coming forth from the statement, I can only assume someone wrote this toward someone else. If this is true I would interpret it to mean. "to cease from acting like God, to discover the real God," type concept. Or it could mean "leave God, as a favor to God." This is the best I can come up with from this short sentence. However, it may me something completely different depending on the ambiance in which it was spoken.

Hope that might have helped some.
