I saw this tonight, too. Looked at it with binoculars. Could it be some massive data spying satellite?

ok so that rules that out. so it's either a satillite or a ufo of some kind.

OP, I see those all the time. More people would if they would simply look up at night.

Since stars do not have red and green flashing lights attached to them, I've concluded that they are motherships.

Re: red/green/white flashing light in SSW sky
I've been stargazing for 3 years now. I know where the stars are and their configuration. August 16th, around 10 pm, I witnessed a bright object moving slowly from north to south at about a half mile distance. The following night I saw the light again, traveling west, but about two miles from the night before. The next night, myself and neighbors watched the same light. It was about in the same location as the night before. Then, the following night there were two slowly moving bright objects and a object which strobed red and green. The red/green object slowly moved n/w. Tonight, August 22, 2013, myself and neighbors wittnessed close to 12 of the strobing red/green objects. They are spaced close to 50 miles apart and appear to have taken up station. This is the area of central Texas, Gillespie county. In all my years of stargazing, I've never seen this phenomena. I looked through a spotting scope and saw they looked like the strobing red/green lights posted on youtube. To the detractors: these objects aren't moving with the normal movement of stars.

Me and finance both witnessed what this person is talking about here in Tennessee tonight. She text me about it when I was at work and I came home and saw for myself. Had not moved for awhile. Gone now. Frequent viewer on this site but this caught my attention very quickly.

Re: red/green/white flashing light in SSW sky
Just saw a bright, crazy flashing red green and white light over sw united kingdom. Too far away to see if it was the the same as in the video on first page. It stayed for a few minutes then flashed only white and glided away. The flashes got very faint when it moved I could barely see it. Ive Never seen anything like it before

So, I saw this thing tonight around 7:00 p.m.
I stayed outside for about 30 minutes and it never
moved.
I felt if it was "something", many people would be
reporting it? So, maybe nothing of importance.

I have witnessed the same red and green flashing star-like object last night in North Eastern Pa. Watched it for about 15 minutes, it never moved, just blinking red and green lights. This was not a plane and not a star.
