Report: Russia Evacuates Troops From Base in Syria


A Russian newspaper has reported that Russia has pulled out all of its military personnel from its naval base in Syria.

The base at Tartus is a minor facility, used mainly to service Russian navy ships in the Mediterranean, but it is Russia's only naval outpost outside the former Soviet Union. The number of personnel stationed there is unknown.

With all Russian military personnel out of the area no training can be taking place so that part is finished, perhaps just the reload under battle conditions needs to be affected. I'm pretty sure when steps like that are taken to resist NATO help that Syrian means any and all NATO help.

The S-300 system isn't the only hardware in Syria. There are the unstoppable supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles and about 24n unstoppable surface to surface missiles that carry 1500lbs of HE. There are also air defense systems that rival the S-300 in accuracy but range is less so Israel is not within target range as it is geared in 'incoming hostile projectiles' rather than eliminating their home base so they can't get airborne. The S-400 system would be taking out targets while` still over foreign soil (in a war)
