Why is it that threads like this often sink without notice when threads with no content become very popular?

Really. There are some important topics to discuss but the majority here are non-thinkers, choosing instead to jump into threads about lowlife, base subjects written by fake posters like ttown - it's indicative of the mental deficiency of most people.


Now back to your thread . . . Paul is right and it may be that Snowden is just part of a plan Russia has . . . perhaps he was recruited to get the documentation, flee to Russia where Putin will use him as a bargaining chip/leverage to get what he (Putin) wants from America, with one condition being that Snowden is never prosecuted for anything.

Paul was pointing out the obvious in a way. When things devolve enough what's obvious one day is called brilliant the next day (see "Idiocracy").

giving information to the whole world includes the enemy, so technically they are correct.

snowden is still working for the nsa or the cia...
he is carrying out an op, doing his job. it is all a show; a circus. he didn't tell us anything we don't already know.

do you really think, with their amazing spy machine, that the us isn't able to catch snowden?
he is able to hang out in hong kong, give interviews, and then casually fly to russia while awaiting a flight somewhere else? if he really were a threat, they would have taken him out weeks ago.

he is doing his job and playing his role perfectly. only thing you need to ask is, what is the reason for it?

is it to tighten the controls over us even more under the claims of national security? is it to hide other things going on, like all the obama scandals. something stinks here!

Just the way the whole thing has unfolded . . . US could have revoked his passport from the very beginning, but did not. We're supposed to believe that this one guy has been able to navigate his way around the world without the NSA - the very agency that's supposed to know pretty much everything about everyone - being able to catch him? Nope, not buying it.

Putin has a grudge with US, wants to do whatever he can to aggravate or piss off America without actually starting a war, and this is a good way to do it. Also, there was a guy, may have been someone who was in espionage or something, who sought asylum/defection here in America and Putin requested his return and America refused . . . so maybe there is someone or something he wants and will use Snowden as the conditional trade. Or could be the core motive is the info in all those NSA documents. I think Snowden's travel to Russia was very well calculated and someone else is behind the whole thing.

Ron Paul is right - no espionage charge as it admits we the citizens of the us are the enemy.
I'll be willing to bet Snowden has so much dirt on so many in the government including the upper tier, that they are all paralyzed with fear.
Can you imagine the passport authority issuing an alert on Snowden without putting his passport number on the alert? That would be like the Boston FBI having the Tsarneav bro, in their files and not knowing it.
Can you imagine a huge company like Booz Allen hiring Snowden and turning him loose in the top secret servers? After all, Snowden didn't even graduate from high school.
Can you imagine all this national concern over national security especially illegals entering this country to do us harm, and yet the borders are not secure?

Any real enemies already knew what Snowden has said. The stuff Snowden said is only a surprise to ignorant people (you can be sure any real enemies aren't that ignorant). Thus the quote in the OP is accurate.
