Don't trust NYTimes any further than you can throw them. Too convenient that they're known sycophants for the Barry regime and they happen to put out a piece claiming .GOV targets liberals/progressives too. Say you had a business lunch, claimed back your expenses, they check your emails, text messages, telephone conversations, that the NSA has hacked into and see you were talking about the ball game. Yeah thats right, your screwed, no matter what you talked about at lunch with regards to business, a few emails and they can prove it wasn't a business lunch. This is why what Snowden has revealed is important to every single one of you. You might think you have nothing to hide, you might indeed have nothing to hide, but one simple conversation, can land you in a world of hurt. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27974829 United States 07/03/2013 07:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I worked for the post office for 6 years. I was in a small city and never saw one of these cards. They are very rare. I have heard of the image recording program though. Wouldn't worry too much though. Take the ineptitude of the government and multiply it by ten and then you have postal management. I can just see it now... NSA: We need the files on every conservative org. because elections are around the corner. PM General: Oh yeah about that, um, I don't know how to say this but, well you know we're in the middle of a budget crisis right? Well we had to demote our veteran supervisor and bring in some new hotshot to save the ship. In the process someone hit the delete button. We'll get right on it though. Call back next election cycle and we'll be all set. Sorry |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 42204092 Germany 07/03/2013 08:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | just wanted to throw in, our postal service here in germany wanted it to take a big step further about 2 years ago: email to letter service. huge promotion w/ many letters from the deutsche post to sign up for your emailadress at deutsche post, you then can write an email and have it printed out and sent as letter and vice versa! printed out and put in an envelope by some stranger, of course. and a handwritten letter scanned and sent as email to you. i don´t know anyone who does use this service idea, big fail i assume, haven´t heard from it lately. but the idea of offering something like that and expecting people to give up their "right of secrecy regarding postal services" (don´t know the english expression, sorry) alone is.. stunning. |
