Dumped isn't really the right word. We were in the process of forming a relationship or so I though.. I never felt this way about anyone. Everyday I would see him as he worked near me and we talked forever and stared into eachother's eyes. He certainly isn't rich or super handsome but something about his eyes, voice, personality and demeanor made me feel like I just wanted to love him. He asked me out. He cancelled. I was like okay because I know he is busy. The next time I ran into him he wouldn't look at or talk to me. Just total cold shoulder. I was bewildered. I found out that he hooked up with this waitress at his work. She is also 28. Largish blond with hair dyed different colors, tattoos, very into hip hop and binge drinking. Wears clothes 3 sizes to small. She looks like the kind of chick who would date a rapper. I have met her, she is really, really dumb and promiscuous. She sent me a message in text speak. She is one of those white people who really wants to be black.

It's obviously just personal preference of a list of qualities (that includes more than looks).

Looks matter most to those who aren't interested in marriage. The ones looking to get laid who want a permanent mental picture. When looking for marriage other qualities outrank looks because when those qualities appear it changes the looks of the prospect and they become more desirable than they did before. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder (when they are looking to wed).
