Someone on this thread mentioned "hung jury".

Just a quick question, if somehow this was a hung jury, what does it mean? Does he go free, will there be another trial, etc?

The Nirbiru one would be more factual than a guilty one. But we all know they will find him guilty of something, even though it makes no sense.

Yes and no. They DID try to get the phone data in and the trial isn't over yet. They CAN get the video in closing arguments. Which leaves me pondering how they might be able to get the phone data out there during closing arguments.

At this point in time it appears you are correct. But officially I want to with hold that until after the closing arguments.

In the press conference yesterday he was asked why they pushed so hard to have it allowed and then didn't use it.

He replied with something along the lines of them making a conscientious decision to respect the family and not start sullying the name of the deceased. That they pushed for it to be included because they wanted it to be on their terms, not because they were told to do.

This was a brilliant move on their part, if you ask me. It shows that they (and by extension Zimmerman) are a class act and looking to "win" based on facts and not emotions, unlike the state.

That was powerful enough that it affected me. I too, will not take part in bashing the dead. Not that I've really been doing that in the first place. But it's a strong point. To bring in issues that serve only to speak ill of the deceased Martin, well, it just appears like the facts in the case are not strong enough to stand on their own and need that emotional support for them to hold.

Bravo to the defense team for this very classy move on their part.

There are a lot of banned words that can catch you off guard. Like using a full name that is the same as the owner of this webpage, certain pc virus names are banned.

Code that is allowed in other sites to design a post is bannable.

A lot of people also get banned inadvertently if someone else is using your area to stage online attacks. Wide area bans which are lifted after some time elapses.

They also tend to ban to encourage sign up, money.....but that is speculation on my part...get it? lol

sorry I wasn't clear enough, I got banned by Sir Phydeau from his threads only and I don't believe it was warranted as I was on topic all day as he requests. (see write up/explanation from my side here: Thread: Zimmerman Trial 7/11/13 Day 22 (Page 3)

One more thing......Can either side object whilst in closing arguments ?

well, I am a wino so that would apply if my sister ever gets married and starts popping them out lol!

Yes, if the evidence quoted wasn't properly introduced prior and for errors made on either part. Not common UNLESS an appeal is highly likely or sought after.

if they were anti-GZ or pro-TM then they could've been banned

It was a pre-emptive strike. It was the same argument you had rehashed over and over for like 10 solid pages the day before.

I wasn't going to watch it happen again and shut it down when I saw it starting to spin out again.

No offense intended, but you've an obsession with being "right" and demanding people to bend to your "rightness".

Think on that a moment, your first posting on this thread today even detailed your demands for an apology and people to tell you how right you were.

In short, it was disrupting the peace of the discussion. Totally your fault? No. How it's gotta be for the peace of everyone watching? Yes.

If an appeal is anticipated, objections during the closing arguments are not essential but an important part.

Not making any objections during closing is almost giving up an appeal.
