I sense a lawsuit. The teacher is there to teach. Period. Religion, beliefs, or not. If the child would've become ill or severely dehydrated, the teacher's ass - if not the school entirely - would be on the line. IMO, it's abuse, child neglect & endangerment at the very least. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I can't force people to accept the truth, but I can expose them to it. |

No more pandering to religious people. Don't schools fall under separation of church and state? This is egregious. I have my own religious convictions, but I would not infringe my beliefs in such a way to danger the lives of other people. Insanity. |

The sad thing is, this story is true. The Administration apologized to the Mother, but it still does not excuse the fact that the Muslim Community is starting to take over the schools. Not just in England, but in the United States. They complain and swear that they are going to change our world because it is against their Religion. Then why do they fight so hard to come to a country that will give them money (basically living for free), free medical, yet they are against our way of life? Which is it? They want to turn our country into something out of the Middle East... or they want to be able to Live Free (literary) and force us into their religion. working with Positive Thoughts will result in Positive Outcomes. |

Go to the headmaster or principal and complain because dehydration in a child can become very serious very quickly and lead to all sorts of health problems. Heat stroke is nothing to play with. Demand that your child and all other non-fasting students in the class be allowed something to drink every hour, especially in hot weather. Get the other parents involved as well. |

AN angry mother has accused a primary school of denying her child water on one of the hottest days of the year to avoid upsetting Muslim pupils observing Ramadan. Quoting: Bucephelus Kora Blagden, 32, claimed a teacher at her 10-year-old son Luke’s school refused to let him drink from his water bottle because it was “unfair” to fasting classmates. Mother-of-four Ms Blagden said: “Just before bedtime my sons and I were talking about Ramadan as we had seen it on the news. Luke said to me he was told he wasn’t allowed to drink in class by his teacher. “The reason being a child who is fasting had a headache and the teacher said it would be unfair if the other children drank in front of the pupil. “Luke was dehydrated when he got home and drank three glasses of water straight away.” “I have no problem with that but I don’t wish my sons to be told they can’t drink water. Personally I think it is very wrong. I have nothing against the religion. I have only my child’s interest at heart.” [link to www.express.co.uk] Wtf? That's endagering the health of a child, child abuse and negligence, feel free to add to the list. sue the fuckers, if that hapoened at home the hild would be taken away no doubt. |

How come I can never have luck like this??? Anyway, you are going to get a ton of money for this. They cant force religion in schools, and that is exactly what they tried to do to your son. |

The teacher should be horse whipped, and then fired. No fast should exclude water, especially on a very hot day and especially not on children. The parents should be charged with abuse. |

The schools are getting very pushy and controlling and think they own your kids. Watch out for "no tolerance policies". This requires all educators to take their brains and common sense and throw it out the window. They aren't qualified to teach our kids. |
