Now we find out that Treasury is cashing in Pension Fund investments to stay below the debt limit, then replacing those investments with T-Bills... Are we watching the final looting before they allow the ship to sink?!?!? I've been saying it since the beginning of the year, watch out for Late Summer/Fall 2013 (Q3/Q4). When I quit my fed gubmint job, they gave me a piece of paper that said if I kept my money in the pension fund in 25 years I would get 60 bucks a month payout. I figured with inflation that would be less than my telephone bill, so I cashed the POS out and put the money on my mortgage. I did a lot of stupid things back then, but that was not one of them. All of my buddies who wanted to quit, but didn't because they were milking the government pension tit, are going to get totally shafted. You are right, this is huge news bud. |
