The vested interests usually peddle the so-called health benefits of male genital mutilation, but these are mostly just piffle peddled by people paid by the US medical insurance industry because they make so much money out of it.

Male genital mutilation should be outlawed in the civilised world. If people want to have it done when they reach 16 and they can make up their own minds, I have no problem with that. Or if it's for medical reasons.

But under no circumstances should this irreversible mutilation be carried out on a child who cannot give informed consent.
