Having actually been a student in Physics, I think it's great that QM is opening so many people to it, but I am dissapointed at how many people are turning it in to some kind of religion because they are not exposed to the actual math, only the fun stuff they see on TV and on YouTube. Most of it is theory, yet they expound great mythos about things like probability as if it literally creates many worlds and gives powers and other nonsensical theories as though it were true at face value, when in reality, it isn't.

What IS true is that indeterminancy (the random teleportation of particles) IS a reality. We have observed it many times in labs. Simply put, there is a given probability that all the particles in a person's body will simultaneously teleport and reassemble somewhere else. There is a HIGHER probability that said person will actually reassemble as an entirely different thing (like an ostrich) because of the extremely vast probabilities behind recreating as the exact same thing which disassembled.

What this means is that literally ANYTHING is possible. If the universe is infinite (which it is until it ends and this will probably be never) then we can extrapolate that basically anything we can imagine HAS to exist at some point somewhere and therefor does. It is simply a matter of finding it. Many great thinkers (even before quantum physics) knew of this principle. Einstein talked about it a great deal.

See you are just a little over the edge of reality there... There is no teleportation going on, there is a product of the inability to properly measure some subatomic phenomenon, but that does not imply "magic" movement of real particles. There is no such thing as ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. You cannot dodge bullets or stop cars with your bare hands just because you read a few articles and saw a few videos about QM. This is dangerous thinking and flies in the face of scientific modus. As long as you realize that a human turning into an ostrich is well within the realm of fantasy, but the idea of it is fun to play with if you wish to for entertainment purposes, then you are ok.

It is fact that we (more than once) observed particles existing in two places at the same time. Particle colliders have been used to observe this phenomenon.
