Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44827095 We were told that foreign aid never actually directly goes to Egypt; it goes to Federal Reserve banks in different parts of America, and from there goes straight to military contractors in the US who ship weapons and arms etc. to Egypt. That is what foreign aid is. That money goes directly to the military industrial complex in America. I went to NPRs website to find that link to the story and guess what ? It's not there. Watch this and go on your Department of Defense government website and search away on contracts awarded to Egypt. It's a ponzie scheme guys. Egyptians aren't anti-American, we love you guys and your country and your food, but we don't need your aid, but you need to give it to us. Plus the Military AID is a bonus to keep Camp David. The same group that made the signatures to impeach Morsi (Tamarod) is now calling to cut the Military aid and end Camp David, FYI - that's part of my warning. You guys better wake up to what is happening to your Government outside of your country. Egypt is one of the top recipients of U.S. foreign aid for many important reasons. The top 3 are this: 1) Egypt's formal peace with Israel (the Camp David Peace Accords) is the cornerstone of middle east peace; a pact between the region's preeminent powers. 2) Egypt controls the Suez Canal, a vital artery for shipping oil and other goods. 3) Egypt (specifically Cairo) is the heart of the Arab world, and straddles two continents. |
