SAD^^EYES User ID: 45458883 Romania 08/20/2013 11:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hello, I would advice just to restore your computer to an earlier time (check on youtube for tutorials) and after that install a good antivirus like free avg, free avast, microsoft security essentials etc I will never claim that I know the TRUTH, I will always say that I know pieces of the TRUTH. Knowing the entire TRUTH is yet impossible to achieve by human mind and it's too painful often to cope with; knowing IT also means you can't evolve anymore because you will stop seeking for the TRUTH. Seeking for the TRUTH is often painful for the mind and some might get on the BAD side of it, that's exactly why is often told in many religions that those being humble and not seeking to understand will be BLESSED. But we all got it wrong, and we will continue to get it wrong, till we learn our lesson. The lesson was always simple and right in front of our EYES, but we were programmed in such way to always COMPLICATE things in our mind. We make it more COMPLEX than it actually is. When portions of the TRUTH are revealed, some of US to be able to COPE with it and understand at least the surface of the MESSAGE and to be able to control these emotions and not go CRAZY, will attempt to leave something behind... No matter how insignificant is that “something”.. it will make a difference. That's me... SAD^^EYES in my road to HAPPY EYES. |

No biggie, just wipe out that system, change your passwords, use 'noscript' with firefox from now on. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37965232 wipe out the system? that means reformat the hard drive? why would a hacker want anything to do with me? But you say it might be spyware opening the door? Yahoo said it was two particular locations, like real people. |

Learn security procedures for your OS and turn away from eye candy instead opting for security Try using search engines such as DuckduckGo or Ixquick do make data gathering as difficult as possible for the butt sniffers such as google, yahoo and Microsoft. |

Strèlok User ID: 45409497 United States 08/20/2013 11:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You acquired a virus, probably from clicking on some ad or otherwise shady link online. This same virus is trying to get you to pay the people who made the virus $200 dollars. Yahoo is likely not involved at all. You should, as others have suggested, reformat your hard drive or if possible simply revert to an older backup. Instructions for these things can be found easily online. In the future, avoid clicking links asking you to download something, and get yourself a decent antivirus such as avast or Microsoft Security Essentials. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 45353097 United States 08/21/2013 12:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is minimum reasonable security IMO: Use Linux Use FF with Noscript Set your browser to never remember any history Make sure your firewall is on Absolutely remove (why disable? Remove it!) remote access unless you actually use it Remove everything from your OS that you do not use. This includes bluetooth, instant messaging, etc. If you don't use it then remove it. Check to see what is running in the background. If you don't need it disable it. Use conky and monitor connections and processes. You'll come to know what is normal and will be more likely to recognize when things aren't. |
