BREAKING: Crews Responding To House Fire, Reported Gas Explosion In Somerton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Crews are on scene of a house fire and reported gas explosion in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday night.

The incident was reported at about 8:30 p.m. at the 2000 block of Foster Street in the Somerton section.


The Philadelphia Fire Department and PGW crews are on the scene.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Philadelphia: Explosion, Fire Reported at House in Somerton

Rescue crews are converging on a house in northeast Philadelphia on Wednesday night after a possible explosion and house fire.

The situation was reported at about 8:30 p.m. at the 2000 block of Foster Street in the Somerton section, according to CBS.

The home exploded, with its windows shattering, but the house didn’t collapse, reported NBC.

Officials don’t yet know the cause. Firefighters and PGW workers are on the scene.

These may all be considered small stories but so many explosions in a few days is worth keeping an eye on.....

I don't have any proof but I was told this was a meth lab. They said they heard this on their police scanner. I also heard the man who lived there was arrested for drugs before.
