4th Floor
My son told me today that his high school has 4 floors but the kids/staff only use the 3 bottom floors. Apparently no on is allowed on the 4th floor and he said it looks like jail bars up there so no one can enter. This school is about 10 years old. Why the heck is there a 4th floor and what is it intended for? Thoughts?

I know some of our state centers have buildings that are not used on their campuses but they are set up for emergencies to house a lot of people if the need arises. They have beds food etc. Maybe the "4th floor" is intended for the same

In Japanese culture (I think) the number 4 represents death, or bad luck. If I remember correctly, there was a period of time when buildings "skipped" the fourth floor, 2-3-5, etc. on elevators and whatnot.

I forget where I was going with this story.
