I didn't know about about Ethiopian calendar. It looks interesting. For exemple? The first day of the Ethiopian year is usually the gregorian September 11.

This made me think of several things.
In "Goat", the girl was surrounded by her classmates, but they were blind to the world. So wrapped up in all the rhetoric POTUS was saying, so beaten down & depressed by the current state of affairs, that they obeyed, they were mesmerized & didn't see - but the girl did. And she dropped the apple. She was awake. That's why POTUS began sweating...he knew she wouldn't be fooled & that she could see everything as it truly was.

Snowden (or as POTUS was "snowed in"), seems like a timeframe. He was trapped in the school and couldn't get out, couldn't run away from the situation that was occurring in the rest of the world. He was trying to keep the kids (sheep) distracted.

Also, the girl holding the apple could be perhaps an iPhone. When she awoke & realized that with all the NSA monitoring, (maybe some kind of pre-programmed phone program or app that automatically monitors user data) she no longer wanted it. (There have been references online that the particular scene refers to the girl realizing that "it isn't my apple.")

When the girl woke up & realized, it fell & rolled to his foot - under which was a gold Masonic coin. That's where I get "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"-that's who is really in power, behind everything.

And as the poster you are about to read below proves, the 27th of August of this year could very well be the beginning of the tribulation according to the bible and the 7 year countdown to Dec 21, 2012 according to the Mayan end of times which would take us to August 27, 2020 which would in fact be the Dec 21, 2012 the Mayans spoke of. LOL!
