It is a great guess and I am sure this song was contemporary to that. As I recall it has a similar feel. The guy in the bass only sings the word DUH. There is one part where he is solo and it is a lot like the bom dang part in blue moon. I think the song I am thinking of has a faster meter. All this has happened before, and will happen again. |

But it has been STUCK in my head for a while. Maybe my dad knows. LOL I know, I hate that! Happens to me all the time and I feel like Al Bundy.. I would have guessed Blue Moon or Duke of Earl by your description, but I can't think of anything beyond that. The song has to be from the 50's or early 60's. It is like one of those songs that they associate with carhops and that genre. 2. The main lyric I remember was a guy with a very low voice literally singing the bass part with the words "Duh duh duh...." 3. He sings some kind of a 12 bar blues type part. It reminds me of that Bird is the Word song by the Trashmen when the singer starts the M-ma-mow-mow part. But in the song I am trying to figure out he only sings the word "Duh" over and over again. 4. The guys singing the "duhs" is a backup singer only. 5. The song would be have been considered to be rock n roll at the time. Thanks in advance! Dion & The Belmonts, I Wonder Why? Or same artist... Why must I be a teenager in love. |
