I think they are eventually causing everything, washing out salt domes and sucking down the dirt far above them, like a siphon. If this is true, we are going to see collapses and disasters more and more. People say that the grand canyon was cut by one river, but really the grand canyon is huge and covers many miles. None of us were there to see the deep gorges cut by one lone river. Maybe, just maybe, it all eroded down due to many subterranean rivers. Maybe that is what is happening again? Something is pulling the earth down and subterranean water is probably the best bet on the culprit. |

It boggles my mind, personally, why there would be mining of any kind--oil or salt along a historically active faultline. Why bother sending people to the universities if when they get out and placed in the top positions they make ASTONISHING blunders like these salt dome collapses...or Fukishima. Stick a fork in me! I didn't realize when this whole discussion about the Bayou Corne Sinkhole-- THAT THE GREAT LAKES AROUND LAKE EERIE HAVE SALT DOMES ALSO! It also connects the "salty-dots" with world-wide sinkhole attention this year. (Actually Bayou Corne is a salt-dome COLLAPSE not a traditional sinkhole--getting bigger because the salt is DISSOLVING not from SINKING!) Personally, I believe that the "Earth Expansion Theory" (see video in post above!) PLUS ground water released because of expansion/plate tectonics action w/water dissolving ancient under- ground salt domes (like the Bayou Corne one) is the cause for the WORLD-WIDE phenomenon of giant sinkholes opening up!
