It was actually pretty well delivered from a technical point of view. He seemed sincere.

The only problem is he has to be either

1. totally disingenuous
2. or incredibly ignorant

I wouldn't be surprised if it is some combination of disingenuousness and a tiny bit of ignorance or self-delusion.

Also, he may actually be in a fairly closed off environment, getting info from people with motives to twist facts to meet a agenda.

Or hell, maybe he's just a psychopath. I don't think so though. It is weird. Must be a lot of pressure and competing powerful interests that a President has to navigate.
