Here in Ohio it makes my blood BOIL to see these welfare loafers packed in the store on the 1st of the month and they take their steaks, and pop and hop in their blinged out brand new ride that happens to be parked in the handicapped parking and 90% of these people are UNDER 40!!,,!

I could get welfare, I could get disability for having a herniated L5-S1, with deteriorating disk disease in my spine. Bursitis in both hips, arthritis in NY spine and left elbow, RSD ( reflex sympathetic dystrophy) in my left leg And a neuroma ( dead nerve extremely painful !!!) I am 44 but I suck it up and go on!!! My Dr. Has me on a 5 lb weight restriction, RIGHT!!! I help my parents out that are 75 and 70 .
Must be nice to be moochbags who have no desire to do jack shit in life. That's why I FIGHT thru pain so crippling sometimes I don't want to face another day but I REFUSE to live off the govt. REFUSE!!!!

I grew up hungry and in fear...of many things. I accepted responsibility for my own life at an early age. I did what I could, and I learned life's lessons well. I grew strong and accepted my place in the World. Later, I accepted the Grace of God through Christ, and have learned what it means to be healed.

Why should I now deny the Truth?

CARITAS, which is in english rendered either as "Love" or "Charity", is God's law. But when it is not done His way, then it becomes an instrument of the evil one. The "fair" I speak of is that crowbar, that instrument of evil which divides men.

"Love" is no more "fair" than anything else, except when it is done in submission to His will. Hate the sin, but [still] love the sinner. There's a very fine line to be abided there, and nullifying the sin/lies of the sinner is an essential objective of the giver of Charity. He who gives must do his best to nullify/defeat the sin, and yet be unswayed by the apparent outcome of any given effort.

If you give charity, but do not in every same action battle against sin, then your charity is an instrument which enables evil to persist, even strengthens it.

When "liberals" talk about being "fair" and "taking care of people" they always leave out the part about fighting against the sins that cause poverty and other injustices. "You can't judge people" they say... and other similar garbage. But it is because THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND that CARITAS has an element besides Love and Charity, and that is Discipline...

We must first discipline ourselves to the Will of God, and then we must project that discipline outward into the world in our expectations for others - we must make it clear that we expect them to abide His law, also. Those who refuse His law, are refusing the charity. That is their choice.

People who do not discipline themselves from within, shall be disciplined from without, and woe to them who cannot overcome. This is the essence of all man-made "Law" in the world...

The upward boundary of our projected expectations are described by the bounds of Christian Tolerance - that we do not create a bigger injustice by punishing a little sin. We are all sinners, after all.

well, i'm sure they do that but the EBT card also have welfare money put on them at least they do here in NC. They look the same but, they can have food stamps and Welfare on them, too. Welfare is for those who have dependents, not single people. single people can only get food stamps and Medicaid if they qualify for it. people with kids can get welfare, food stamps AND Medicaid. Btw our new gov is gonna cut off the Medicaid soon ,too, he's already said so yesterday because the state Medicaid bills were 500 million OVER the states entire budget for the yr and it wasn't even signed yet! so he's gonna drastically cut Medicaid, too said he will have more of a plan in the next 3 months.

Hawk, I am in Wilson and you are right about employment being hard to find. I drive to Greenville every day because I lost my job in Wilson after 17 years. Nice to have someone close by on here. If I hear of anything I will let you know!

It is awful. I have been doing this drive for 5 years and it sucks. I have 2 daughters that are now teens that I am solely responsible for and my mom is not in the best health. It is a struggle every day. I wish we had more opportunities around here.

well, I went to Wilson today and talked to a local business owner and the Christmas rush is coming up and the store will be hiring soon. I just hope something soon.
