Watered down beers. |

You'll be playing my team soon enough. BOOMER That's MY doom! Two of my kids were Sooners. When Tech plays OU, we (the whole family) cheer for both sides. It's kind of like back home with the Michigan/Ohio State game. I never like "THE" Ohio State, so I cheered for Michigan. The family rule is, everything stays friendly, or the game is turned off. So far it's worked out, but it's only been a few years. We saw most of the first half on tv, but had to listen to the last half on radio. We had some errands to run, so we didn't see all the missed calls. The Lubbock sportscasters were talking today that the game should be reviewed because of the bad calls/missed calls on BOTH teams. All of the sportscasters, on BOTH sides, felt it did come out about even, though. Maybe we ARE a little too excited, but I can't tell you how much of a difference Cliff has made. It's unbelievable, the difference it makes to FINALLY have a coach that CARES about the team. We all loved him when he played and we're proud to have him back as coach. So, if we're a little over excited, give us a break. If we lose, we'll take our lumps like we've had to before. The program has suffered and so have the kids, so let us have our time. There's not much to be proud of these days. BTW, I don't like the school admin, either. |

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |
