davvi User ID: 3677166 United States 09/19/2013 08:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A journalism professor at the University of Kansas (KU) turned to Twitter on Monday to suggest he would like to see the murder of children of National Rifle Association (NRA) members at the hands of a deranged gunman. Quoting: TheTruthNeverLies “#NavyYardShooting The blood is on the hands of the #NRA,” tweeted David Guth, who is an associate professor of Journalism at the university’s William Allen White School of Journalism. “Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters, he continued. “Shame on you. May God damn you.” Speaking with Campus Reform on Wednesday, Guth confirmed it was he who sent the controversial tweet. “Hell no, hell no, I do not regret that Tweet,” he said. “I don't take it back one bit.” Guth also doubled down on the statement when other Twitter users pressed him, suggesting it was was shameful to call for the death of children. “God’s justice takes many forms,” he tweeted in response. And on Monday the associate journalism professor echoed those sentiments on his personal blog, called Snapping Turtle. “I don't wish what happened today on anyone,” he wrote. “But if it does happen again — and it likely will — may it happen to those misguided miscreants who suggest that today's death toll at the Navy Yard would have been lower if the employees there were allowed to pack heat.” Also in his interview with Campus Reform, he said that he wished “a pox on our Congress and a pox on the NRA” for not instituting gun control policies to prevent mass shootings. “It absolutely appalls me that after Newtown, we could not have come to some kind of sane agreement on something as simple as the number of bullets in a magazine or the availability of assault weapons,” he said. [link to www.campusreform.org] I hope this guy burns in hell for wishing death upon children. The left is totally unhinged and always have been. Why would any human adult wish for the death of innocent children? |

Guth. There are a lot of people online with nothing much to say. I am not one of those folks. I hope that you find my comments insightful, provocative and occasionally amusing. I am a college professor, Jayhawk Journalist and writer. I am not software engineer. I am a content guy. Whatever this blog may lack in flash will be more than made up for in substance. From the photo (left) you may also assume that I have East Coast roots -- I grew up on Maryland's Eastern Shore and am a proud Terrapin. The purpose of this blog is simple: I want to practice what I teach. How can a guy talk to students about social media if he doesn't participate in the online discussion? So here is my foray into Web 2.0. I also want to demonstrate that writing doesn't take a lot of words: My blog entries will brief. Hard to believe he grew up on the shore... The Eastern Shore of Maryland is basically like Alabama or any southern state. Then there is Kent Island. Annapolis east. Maybe that is where that hatful teacher grew up. |

Snapping Turtle. Earned his handle at the buddy-booth peephole. To wish death on another oozes from the muck and shows a staggeringly shallow intellectual power. Teach your children well and watch for idiots like this "objective" journalist be it on his blog, in the classroom, or in mass-produced (don't think we have to worry about that with this genius) print. |
