I went to my first, and only, NFL game several years ago. Cowboys vs. Eagles at the old Cowboy stadium. Tickets were expensive. Parking was expensive. Beer was expensive. The game dragged on and on. It was a terrible afternoon. At one point, the game just stopped. I'm asking, "What happened? A penalty? Why did they stop?" Then it dawned on us...there was a commercial playing on the big screen. As soon as the commercial finished, the game started again. WTF???

That was it. That was the very last NFL game I ever watched. Ever. I wouldn't attend a live game if they gave me free tickets, and I won't watch the games on television. Forget it. I'll watch college ball, and I'll continue to attend local high school games. No more NFL.
