If it is in text form, the security benefit is zero. If people convert all text to images using this font, then we're getting somewhere. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19492756 One word.. steganography. BTW it has use only as printed material but in that case you can write with your own hand-writing and it will have the same effect (non readable by OCR algorithms) |

Problem there is a lot of self made fonts will still be readable. This is why the security codes (type in the scrambled word) are always updated. Computers are very dumb until they are told what to do. technically, any new font is unreadable except the system uses many various character detection rules. Not one routine is used. in short, no, new fonts will not work. These posted about fonts were designed specifically to defeat these systems. Otherwise, random dots around the letter would work. Strike through a few pixels low would work. Spelling backwards, mid-letter scrambling, it is all considered and defeated. These characters will probably be ID'ed generically by straight up pixel pattern. Then the logic behind the defeating will be worked around soon. Until then, no one knows if these were planted as bait or if they are real data logging defeaters. |

Well, don't expect me to give up my tricks. though generally yes, the belief is it is impossible to truly hide the code. But there are unique work arounds.
