"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Quoting: Thomas JeffersonIf the government keeps raising the debt ceiling then the issuing power of the new money belongs to the banks and is taken from the people to whom it properly belongs. Solvent companies/organizations release a budget every year would you have faith and invest in anything that did not have a annual budget and a forecast not dependent on raising its debt ceilings while shutting down part of its operations so it could make it to the next hand out? |

Many economists expect a recession if the debt ceiling isn't raised. Imagine an Olympic judge who scores points by watching film of a pre-recorded event, where the entity who recorded the event is able to digital edit whatever outcome they desire before turning the film over to the judges. That is basically what economists do with their "scoring" of the economy. The Central Bankers engineer whatever outcome they desire and sometime later economists come out of their offices with all the statistics they performed and predictions they have after evaluating the fraud. |
