"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
 Quoting: Thomas Jefferson

If the government keeps raising the debt ceiling then the issuing power of the new money belongs to the banks and is taken from the people to whom it properly belongs.

the Science of Physical Ecomonics (unlike the Political Economics mythos) starts really with LAND control.. who controlls what square foot of Land..

The unsolvable hard problem of the Science of Physcial Economics has to do with who has the right to say who has the right to own what land or lands...

The only thing that has ever been discovered in answering that Hard Question is "Might makes Right".

Its all really about LAND.

Solvent companies/organizations release a budget every year would you have faith and invest in anything that did not have a annual budget and a forecast not dependent on raising its debt ceilings while shutting down part of its operations so it could make it to the next hand out?rant

Imagine an Olympic judge who scores points by watching film of a pre-recorded event, where the entity who recorded the event is able to digital edit whatever outcome they desire before turning the film over to the judges.

That is basically what economists do with their "scoring" of the economy. The Central Bankers engineer whatever outcome they desire and sometime later economists come out of their offices with all the statistics they performed and predictions they have after evaluating the fraud.

Sparking a recession??? What have we been in for the past few years?
Things surely aren't improving the way that the "growth charts and phony numbers " that obamanomics would have you believe

Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining !
There is no way that the economy has improved with the job markets the way they are.... The president's republican shutdown is probably the most responsible improvement in our economy since he took office

I hope the republicans have a spine and hold their ground on this and the imaginary debt ceiling that has been surpassed a hundred times more than it ever should have been

Economists fear debt ceiling fight may bring recession.

Forget the current government shutdown. Economists say it's the upcoming debt ceiling impasse that could plunge the nation into a recession.

About half of the 22 economists surveyed by CNNMoney say a recession will be unavoidable if Congress fails to raise the nation's debt ceiling before the Treasury runs out of cash later this month.

Is anybody aware that needing all the people working is the sign of a Nation under stress. One where 90% are not working and they still have the same basic needs to sustain life then that is one that is thriving. You just have to reset the mindset of the 10%v that are working that they do not deserve 100% of the material things in that society. The 90% can replace the 10%, it does not work any other way. One meal every two days is quite fine when you are 'on vacation' as you have other things to do. The ones needing lots of energy eat when they need to and that could be 3 times every day they work. That is when creative things like art can be explored, before that art was a creative spear-point.
